Steady in The Storm - Bishop T.D. Jakes 

Found my brother dead on his couch, he drank his self to ease pain that led to heart attack- very traumatizing, still see this scene in my head. I miss him sooo, that aged me by 15 years. My father died months later, was found in his bathroom, heart attack. A relationship for 15 years ended. I was lost, went into a DEEP depression, then last year I got realllly sick and was bed ridden for 8 months. Lost 44 lbs. i lay alone with nobody. No family. I cried, I begged, I felt it was my time to goooo, i was at peace to go on to heaven. Wasnt afraid. But one day in bed, in tears i prayed and prayed lord where to tou want me, will I ever heal from this sickness, a light a bright light came thro my window, my body got real warm and I felt soo calm and peaceful. This was the lord he was with me. I cried. Few months later, Iam healing. The lord is great healer. My storm has been wild. I dont know how I have made it thus far- but I know I have the lord and I will not be afraid. Amen❤

I’m 37 yrs old. I’m a recovering addict. An addiction that was the direct cause of 2 strokes, a brain aneurysm, being in a coma with no brain activity on life support, then 2 open heart surgeries and a spinal surgery. God delivered me from all. He delivered me from a 9 year abusive relationship. My faith was strong. A month ago, I was hit head on and ran over by a construction truck while walking across the street. Out of everything, this has been the toughest by far. I woke up with a broke leg, 2 broke ankles, 9 broken bones in my right foot, my right foot was severed in half and sewn back on, my left foot exploded on compact and I have 80% of my foot covered in third and fourth degree burns from road rash. They gave me ketamine in the trauma bay and I haven’t been the same since. The first time in my life I woke up cursing God, angry with God for saving me. Screaming and questioning if God was real?!!!! Bc WHAT KIND OF GOD DOES THIS TO SOMEONE? I’m trying to regain my faith slowly by the day. I’m wheelchair bound and fully dependent on my ex. I’m thankful for him and his faith. My dad and roommate who also live here, repeatedly attack me verbally and emotionally daily while I’m already in this vulnerable state. I need prayer. I know how to pray myself but I feel a block. I need Gods hand and grace in my life and I’m claiming it

Thank you Bishop this is me. My storm hit 10-20-22. Shook up my marriage, my job, my foundation. Divorce is on the table with my wife and I whom I love so much. She and I both have generational curses that need to be broken that holds us back. We both love you Lord but the enemy is in this place because it's attached to some of us through others. In this storm my wife and I completely forgot how to love, communicate, and appreciate it other. I'm trusting God can heal us and bring us stronger to tell our testimony to others. Some people think I'm crazy for believing this but my heart tells me we will be healed and God will get the glory. We will help others through testimony. I believe this. I believe my wife and I will return stronger than before. It will scare us!!!!

Please pray for me I am going through a storm right now singleness financial instability lack of close friends and family I am reassured by all of Bishop Jakes sermons as I get older it may be a little more difficult but Father God helped me before I know that He never gives up on us

Today is the day 3 years ago my Mom my mother- grandmother went home to be with the Lord. Storms come but the strength God gives us the strength and grace to move forward. We don't get to control everything that happens but we can choose to accept the truth that God will give us the strength to bring you through and give Him the glory by trusting Him or stay in grief and miss out on the beautiful life God has for us. The storms are meant to bring us into the life God has for us. ❤️🙏🏽

This message was definitely for me after my son had brain surgery August, 2022 and Feb 20,23 and he is currently in the hospital again doing alright but on yesterday I felt my anxiety on ten but on my way back up the hospital he was getting a blood transfusion my mom and everybody calling now let's be clear the enemy had already attacked me because I just had my second knee revision and was still healing but I obeyed God and kept pushing being by my son's side and I am Glory be to God he's up walking around getting discharged to rehabilitation next now my job is done I want to say our storm is coming to an end I felt this sermon with everything in me and my tears of joy was flowing like a river this morning this was very challenging for me despite my own storm I just kept pushing with everything in me my knee is better not only am I walking losing weight feeling stronger with every test Hallelujah 😘😘😘🤲🏽🤲🏽🤲🏽🤲🏽

I lost oldest Son on Christmas Day and every since he’s been gone I’ve felt so lost and broken because I could not save him from the disease of addiction I been so broken and down and dealing with one storm after another . Feeling like I’m stuck in limbo day after day praying and pleading with God to step in and help me I felt like I was losing my mind and listening too this service touched me in so many ways!
