Wyverns will almost always prioritize fighting flying enemies, so the best thing to lead them into is birbs/pteras.

I bought some of their stuff. Pricey, but it smells incredible and works wonders. Don't get their toothpaste, if you have relatively clean teeth than it doesn't apply very well. Just kinda slips around.

@@xen9221 I usually use full sized wyverns. Never had problems landing. Crystal wyverns are significantly smaller. Of course it's a personal preference thing too.

Wyvern trench farming tip: It's best to kill all of the wyverns, take all the eggs, and leave render range for a short time to basically "reset" the spawns. Come back, repeat. A good set-up is key. Its also a way to artificially spur Alpha Wyvern spawns. You can even have up to 3 spawn to feed all of your babies :) It's how I farmed high-level colored wyverns for roughly 100 people on Official PVP for a long time before they were made breedable.

Any tips on how to kill them effectively? When I read official PVP I hear pocket giga but as a solo player I'm not there yet, so a somewhat beginner/mid-game level would be appreciated.

@@giantdutchviking lightning wyvern and a few battery turrets (set to all) would do the trick. Just make sure you have something to heal your wyvern.

Syntac successfully passes off a poison wyvern to a giga, immediately transfers the eggs in his inventory and then is surprised the wyvern re aggros on to him. Quality content. I love this man.

In the wyvern cave, if you bank to the right when exiting and leave through the hole behind you, they wyverns chasing you almost always get stuck inside the cave. Also, there's no point in bothering with the little tunnels in there unless you're using them to get away. The wyverns also tend to fly lower and fly into walls a lot in the wyvern cave. Of all the places to get wyverns, the wyvern cave is probably the best to try if you've never done it before as the eggs are easy to spot, and you can reliably get away most of the time. It's also fairly easy to do this without aggroing the wyverns as long as you're careful.

What I've actually realized in my many years fighting Wyverns is that if you're on a creature with >10k health and it does more than 250 damage a hit, you can generally kill Wyverns under level 150.

In the lower Rag cave we used a motorboat with a 3x4 on it with a metal hatch roof and turrets, doesn't look like you can get in but you can. Open the boat and fly out on a pteranodon then kite the wyverns back.

Make four foundations, place them outside the trench or in the snow area near the trench, place two heavy turrets and a generator, make sure the turrets are on wild dinos, then lead the wyverns to the turrets then go for an egg
