I bought this exact model back in September 2019 after dong much research online about it. I bought it for airbrushing T-shirts a couple days a week in my basement and at festivals. It is quiet and very easy to use. Fast forward to February. I went downstairs to begin airbrushing and heard a leak while the compressor was filling. It appeared to be coming from around the pressure regulator area. I had to take the plastic cover off to get to the manifold. The screws that hold manifold on were all loose, so I took a phillips and tightened them. It cut down on the noise, but the leak was still there. The leak was coming from a small hole right below the pressure regulator knob. I think it is where the pressure is let out to reduce air pressure going to tools. The air compressor itself is still usable but it leaks there. I contacted manufacturer and they said they would send a new pressure regulator. Well it's been two weeks and still no regulator. I reached out to them again and they haven't sent it out yet but they will put in the mail that afternoon. Also I would like to note that to register the compressor online the serial number is on the box, not the actual air compressor.

I got the new replacement regulator in the mail from manufacturer. They sent a whole manifold that had the regulator adjustment part built into it. I removed all guages and pieces from bad manifold and reinstalled on to new manifold. After new manifold was installed, I turned the compressor on to make sure there were no leaks. Compressor completely filled up and shut off and I heard no leaks. I proceeded to hook up air to my airbrush lines at 60 psi, then POP! The new regulator adjstment part the manufacturer just sent me started to leak in the exact same spot the old one did! It was only 60 PSI! I think these parts in the manifold are just cheap. I will contact manufacturer again and let them know, but ultimately I will just go to hardware store and get parts to make my own regulator/manifold. I dont have time to keep jacking around with this.

Isn't 70 dB over twice as loud as 64 dB? Every increment of 3 dB is 2x loudness.

There seems to be a lot of differing opinions regarding doubling of loudness however from what I understand it's supposed to be every 10 decibels loudness is considered doubled or halved. Even at the measured 70 decibels, it's still much quieter than regular air compressors as most are well above 80 decibels loudness so this model is more than "half" as loud. Also because my decibel testing result was a bit louder than manufacturer testing, it doesn't mean they were incorrect. It just means they measured loudness probably at a further distance than I did. I test for loudness at 5 feet for all tools so as to keep testing consistent. The further you are from the unit, the quieter it seems due to the law of sound.

Out of curiosity can this handle a air chisel gun

not sure, I will say this is good for low power air tools

@trevethan82319841 it does, as well as all of (my) pneumatic tools. It runs & starts more often, but if you're not using it CONSTANTLY ... absolutely, it will handle 90% of what I have [retired automobile technician] The regulator is adjustable past most of what the standard tools require.

Their claims are in optimal testing conditions, like in an open field with no noise propagation.

@@ToolCraze You absolutely did your testing correct. My point is more of that they set up conditions that make the number lower (such as you say further distance).

Incomplete review with compressors cfm is the most telling thing when trying to determine what tools it can run.
