Not sure why so many people are disgruntled about this not being a traditional Chinese buffet. I found it to be an extremely elevated buffet. Homemade bread and Yorkshire pudding. Really unique touch. If you went to the UK this would not be an out of place Chinese buffet. Chicken balls, Yorkshire pud, curry, all strong uk influence. I think people are only thinking about traditional American Chinese buffet. Very impressive spread. It’s clear the owners take great pride in what they are doing. Edit: insane that they had calories listed for all their items. Nice touch.
When you used your cookie to move the food to your fork it reminded me of my grandmother calling it a pusher upper. She used bread or roll to push our food onto the fork
Don’t get why people could hate on this place, the food actually looks delicious. They have a wide variety of food and they have some expensive items. I would definitely be having that hot and sour soup. That’s my favorite soup. ❤
@@bethdoublekickchick8007 Ken calls himself a food reviewer, which he is paid to do. Therefore by definition he is a professional food reviewer even if he doesn't call himself it
@@CheeseBlackOpsRU-vid pays him for views on a video, not to be a "Professional food reviewer". He has been paid for videos of him fishing, doesn't make him a professional Fisherman. Never once as he claimed to be a professional food reviewer.
I have observed that there are quite a few food reviewer either don't research where and what they are eating. And almost sound as if it is their first time eating out. He has been doing food reviews for over 10 years I believe. I find his ignorance on some dishes puzzling. He is not the only one. Some keep making the same mistakes over and over again, I think it's for engagement, to "help them out and correct t their mistakes". Pretty smart if you think about it.
Thank you for this Mandarin has always been a joy for my family. We go once a year as a family and it’s always a great experience. So watching you helped bring back fond memories
Oh Ken how I wish we had a Mandarin Buffett here. Fresh food!!!! Decor looks so classy!! First plate egg drop soup my favorite, the Chinese rib is so good, salmon, broccoli, beef, just the whole plate appetizing. Of course THE EGG ROLL. Second plate sushi. All of the Shimi looked so good. Salmon, California, tuna, excellent. Third plate: the prime rib with horseradish, baked shrimp, lemon chicken, chicken curry yum, fried ribeye, sausage, seafood Medley, and the potstickers what a plate!!! Dessert plate: coconut creme pie my favorite, rice pudding, creme caramel, little brownie, creme brulee' cinnamon bar. Oh my goodness Flashback DINER is truly a '50's gem. Love the print on the tables!!! Very big breakfast sausage, bacon, 2 sunny side up eggs, fried potatoes, and rye toast. I'd have OJ. What a great start to your day! Would come here 2 days a wk if I was in this town in CANADA. The Mandarin was a great Chinese buffett!!!
I finally got around to doing "Shady Maple Smorgasbord" It will be out this Thursday, October 3rd 2024 and there will be a shout out to you! Thanks for all your support! - Ken
When I clicked the thumbnail, I thought it was going to be something dark and dreary. But this chinese buffet was incredibly colorful and bright! It looks amazing!
Ken, I belive that soups either hot and sour soup which also has egg drops or [egg whites and yolk gets mixed in with chicken broth] or their egg drop soup. That salad is krab or crab salad or seafood salad.
I'm originally from Ottawa Canada. I have been living in Alberta for 24 years and I still miss the honey garlic ribs!!!! Albertans seem to only like dry ribs. They usually suck. They are either deep fried pieces of fat or stringy AF. I say if I get fatty ribs I want them soaked in honey garlic sauce!😅 I am so want Chinese food now. I think the Mandarin has a free/cheap Canada Day sale on Monday. Yummmmm
There is nothing like a good Chinese food buffet. Have you ever thought about doing a stealth camping at a Wegmans grocery store? I have had there pizza it was delicious not to mention the cheese pull.
Hi Ken! Long tome viewer, It’s good to see you again. Believe it or not I developed a canadian accent from years of watching your vlogs, and reviews haha! Hope you are doing well man. Thanks for all the good times man👊🏼❤️
Great video as always ❤. The food at the mandarin looked amazing. Coconut cream pie is my favourite too along with crème brûlée. Can never go wrong with a Robin Williams movie . They are all great . The little dinner looked adorable and retro , and the amount of food for the price was good. Marble rye is awesome
The dinner at Mandarin looked absolutely fabulous. But I'm more of a breakfast person and thought that the brekkie you ate at that Rock & Roll nostalgia food joint looked even better. However, if I were you, I'd munch down those home fries as they looked great. I would also like to have a glass of grapefruit or orange juice as it helps leave a good taste in your mouth. How was the coffee, by the way? Look forward to viewing more of your videos.
Hey Ken, I was watching an older video awhile back. I think you stated you were gonna order a bunch of different pizzas and rate them on delivery time, quality and price. Is there a video on that? Great review!

KBDMOVIE Mask (with Sam Elliot and Cher, based on true story) would be a good movie to watch. I try to get to bed by midnight. I work the am shift. Good Video, i look forward to the next one.
