Stealth Camping Disguised As Construction Worker 

Nothing suspicious about a man pushing a wheelbarrow into the woods with a chopped up body sized, "something" wrapped in a tarp. Nothing odd at all.

The $30 hunk of Parmigiano Reggiano was one thing but then a restaurant sized Pepper Mill! Steve, you are one unique individual. No wonder everyone loves you.

I like the way you employ your camo. This past August a homeless guy and his gf (mid 20's) set up a small camp in a park where I walk the dogs. Their tent was bright blue with yellow stripes and stood out like a laser beam. One evening when walking the dogs he stepped out from the bushes right in front of me and had this startled expression as if he was expecting me to give him a hassle. I told him there was nothing to worry about and that I have been homeless myself so I get where he is coming from. I then pointed out that his camp stood out like a sore thumb and he really needed to camouflage it a bit. I suggested he cover the tent loosely with a brown tarp and lay some brush over top of it. The next day I was walking the dogs and as I walked past I noticed the camp was gone and figured they had moved on. On my last lap I saw the guy and asked him where he had moved to. he told me they hadn't moved and he had just done what I suggested and even he had a hard time finding the tent sometimes. I walked back by and unless you were specifically looking for it you could not tell it was there at all. They managed to stay there for over a month before they moved on.

These cover identities are becoming more and more complex. In a month he’ll be stealth camping in a national park by actually becoming a park ranger.

Three years from now: Stealth camping in someone's attic while they're on vacation!

It's funny how the more Steve tries not to be suspicious the more suspicious he becomes!

I’m now starting to wonder if those times I smell cooking outside my house was actually someone stealth camping in the nearby spillway.

I’m a construction worker and I’m dressing as a stealth camper for Halloween.

If I’m on a job site, and I don’t recognize someone, as long as he’s in the right “uniform” I assume he belongs there. If his PPE is brand spanking new, he’s either a new guy, or a boss/inspector, neither is someone I’d go anywhere near. Great idea for concealment Steve.

I got on your channel few days ago from Corporal's Corner (dude gave you a shout out), which I've been watching for years now. I love your stuff, me having bit of a homeless streak in the past, I can definitely relate with all the stealth / out of sight, out of mind stuff you do. People do not react very kindly to "stealth campers" even though they can be good to the environment - like cleaning trash that wasn't even left by you.

As somebody who has worked on many construction sites, oil and gas sites, Frack sites etc, even if you see somebody you don’t know but they are wearing the “uniform “of a hardhat and reflective vest, you really wont question a thing. In fact if you don’t know them you assume they’re important and you should continue working without paying attention

A 14 hour day, including commute, at the water plant. Finally at home on a Thursday wit a Step 2, sitting down to my evening of Camping with Steve. What a treat. You never disappoint. It's a guys version of a hot bath with scented candles and wine.

I don't like camping myself, but there is something so comforting and soothing about Steve that makes the world feel like a better place.
