Ryan thanks for stopping by my shop .... but on funny note i never understood why people say I have "accent" until I saw myself on camera, WOW it sounds like I came off a boat yesterday and i been here for more than 30 years... in any case if you ever need any help (close by or far away) or advice regarding mechanical work you have my number don't hesitate to call .... wish you all the best...great video by the way
I can't say it enough man, your videos are some of the best stress relievers ever. So chill, consistent, and quality. You help me a lot, and I'm sure others can agree. Thanks, Ryan!
A tip for you and your fans... if the check engine light is on continuously, then it is okay to drive until you can get an appointment at a shop. If the check engine light is flashing, it is something more serious, and you need to stop driving asap until you can get the car into a shop. Also, most auto parts stores will read your check engine error codes for you for free. That can help you decide whether to drive your car, or not.
Emission equipment is warrantied for 80,000 miles just in case you need it. My Tacoma threw similar codes before the catalytic converter ejected honeycomb bits throughout my exhaust system.
Might be a good idea to run a couple bungee cords around the fridge to keep the door closed when driving. Some things can be a heck of a time to clean up.
You are a very respectful and good Guy!!! Wish more people in the world were like you! You are one of a kind alrighty! A great person that makes people happy 😊❤!!!
Perfect timing, I just finished binge watching all your videos this morning after finding this channel a couple of weeks ago. I really enjoy your adventures. It looks like you get to see lots of cool places.
I think the little critter was a pocket gopher, not a mouse or ground squirrel. If caught outside a mound/tunnel they will go around baring their teeth at scary things like that. They are everywhere here in the South Bay. If you find your way up here in the next few days Cuesta Park is a good overnight spot. Mountain View is one of those towns that has passed ordinances against street parking/stealth camping because of the number of RVs parked on the roadsides. It's not so much the van-lifers - they are pretty cool and keep to themselves for the most part. It's the homeless crowd in RVs that have made it challenging here. My only request to folks staying overnight - especially in one of the parks - is to put food waste in trash cans and not on the parking lot next to your car and also don't leave behind piss bottles - I mean, ewww. We're van folks as well we're just not on the road right now...
Hey Ryan, they make a simple little latch that mounts to the top of the fridge and Hooks over the front of the door to keep it shut. You just push it up with your thumb when you want to open the door. It's simple and it works!
Make sure your gas cap is on tight I’ve had that sensor come on because air was getting in the tank because it wasn’t tight enough One time just had to twist it Other time it was the sensor itself Good luck !
That could also happen when you run on a batch of bad fuel. You can put in a higher octane your next fuel stop to help burn off the deposits in the cat
Thanks for the reminder for people to be respectful guests when stealth camping. Every camping channel I follow both here and in Europe have been saying the exact same thing recently. Why do the few always have to ruin it for the many? Keep up the great work, Ryan!
I used to not be able to grow a mustache or beard well. The BEST tip i was ever told, was to shave it often. Really. A full beard takes me now 2 weeks, but a mustache and goatee tajes a week maybe 10 days to be be FULL. Really shave it often, every other week.
should do more touristic tours, park the van and go take some public transportation, subways n stuff, if u can. started watching u few days ago. good guy, liking ur content. hugs from Brazil.
At the Jiffy Lube missed an opportunity to make fun of their commercials…telling them they were so fast you didn’t even find a place to stay for the night lol
The transition from night to day time at min 14:33 was smoothly keep up the good work , i look forward to live the Van/camper lifestyle one day , stay safe ✌️
Ryan, recently found your channel… massive fan! Do yourself a favor and make sure to use BG Products with your oil changes and any vehicle maintenance needs with your home (van). You’ll be astonished with their lifetime protection plan. If you have any questions, let me know, I would love to explain it to you. I’d hate to see you have any vehicle problems. Keep up the amazing content as I live vicariously through you! Be safe
It is good to get to visit with you again so soon...I love clam chowder but living in AZ doesn't allow me the pleasure of having it as often as I would like since it is rare to find a place that serves it. I agree with you that people don't take care of what is around them and because of them, more and more restrictions are placed on those that do care! Have a great day!
being from the DMV area I absolutely love watching your videos I find them to be very very relaxing to me thanks for always taking us along on your journey
If I could live anywhere in the world, Monterey would be on my short list. It such a pleasant town. Perfect weather. And gorgeous views all over. Best city in California, hands down.
Im a Central Valley Guy from Fresno, out of all the beach towns us Valley People like to visit its either Monterey or Pismo for the best getaway. Thank you for the video Ryan!
It takes a lot of balls to do what you're doing, Ryan, especially being true to who you are and doing exactly what you want. I have so much respect for that, and hope to be out there on the road in a similar fashion sometime. I'm a native Californian, and have been in many of these areas you're exploring now. Love seeing it all through your eyes. Please keep the content coming, and safe travels :)
Glad to see a new vid! when i saw the title i got worried it would be a silent video i'm not a fan of those i like when you talk in them and narrate whats happening hhaha
Love the consistency of these videos, its so clean how you are legit on the road and release multiple videos a week, plus you edit them yourself. Well in son
San Juan Bautista is also a really cool small town a little up north of Monterey with a lot of history and cool things to see it’s has some pretty good restaurants too like Don Esters and JJs Burgers and has some cool missions to check it out you’ll definitely enjoy it
Thank you Ryan . Love your Vlog. Happy whenever you post a new one. Take your time. Two videos a week is good for us. Much love and respect. Kinda live through you . Wish I could do what you’re doing. Have a blessed day.
I used to go to Monterey every year for Monterey Car Week in August. I love that place. But don't go there during car week unless you are a car and racing nut, like me. It is packed! There will be nowhere to park, and a room at Motel6 will cost you at least $300 a night. There is a cool British Pub near Portola Plaza that is great when you are traveling alone. It is easy to strike up a conversation at the bar.
Love the video. Ryan one automotive advice id give is don't get oil changes at those type of places. As much as I don't like to recommend the dealership (bc of cost) I'd do that or a local auto shop. You'll read hundreds of horror stories about going to places like those quick oil shops.
YOOO i never thought id see the day where ryan passed my hometown😭😭😭 for a split second went thru watsonville but i go all around down south nd the bay all the time so this was so cooll
Brilliant advice Ryan if you planning to live this lifestyle be as respectful as possible and don't leave trash laying around! Better than I could say it!
Me and my dad just visited there and went whale watching!! I had the same clam chowder bowl and it was phenomenal!!!! So crazy people going to places that you have also been ❤
That ending with Enjoy the silence, awesome ahahaha. Always nice to watch one of you're videos, hoping to do that kind of lifestyle too. Stay safe brotha.
If I knew you were in Monterey, I'd hook you up with a place to stealth w/ parking pass; that's a couple blocks from the beach/aquarium/fisherman's wharf.
If by chance you drive through Washington state. Look up Ivar's Fish and Chips. Stop to get some clam chowder. They have several restaurants in the Seattle/Everett area.
I know I'm late watching this and commenting on it, Ryan, but I am going back to watch older episodes after watching all the newer ones first. Next time you are on the pier there in Monterrey, be sure to look for the sea otters, swimming on their backs. I mean, they are going backward doing the backstroke, and you can sit in the restaurants and watch them. It's almost like they know they are putting on a show for us land lubbers. 🤭
Glad your check engine light issue was a one off. Looks like a lovely day in Monterey to wipe clam chowder off your face. I don't know what that tiny rodent was, but judging from the bark, bark there were sea lions and a seal. Thanks for making a thoughtful message about respectful city street camping for all.
wow. that was my childhood vacation spot for the summer. go to the beach and the pier in Monterey and we ate clam chowder bowls and got candy at the same place you did! great memories! I remember there being a monkey at the pier too.
I see a lot of truckers wrapping their seat belts around their door handle then clicking it in. So even if someone is able to pick the lock they still cant open the door or it at least buys time to react. Not sure if its possible in your vehicle. Just food for thought and a little extra security.
I’m going to give you a good spot from my hometown. El Charrito in Salinas. About 30 minutes inland from where you are. You won’t regret it. Also any la plaza bakery.
