This is my favourite camp site stiffkey was a ww2 closed in 1955 Anti aircraft training gunnery range and British army camp also used by us forces most buildings are ex ww2 hence the size of the tollets and wash block etc the whole area was used for training live fireing people are still finding live rounds in the area there are warning signs saying this totted about ,there are maps in main buildings showing what buildings uses were etc be carefull when walking the sait marshes and beach for unexploded ordnance or military shells dont touch anything just ring police these shells are still very much deadly even after 80 years this is my hobbie military history in Norfolk . good video ben, loads good walks in the area thanks ben sorry its a long one 🎉🎉🎉 ps there are the remains of a crashed ww2 German air force or luftwaffe bomber plane on scott head. the changeing tides have uncovered it not much remains the air frame on scott head near stiffkey very dangerous area dont get cut off by the fast in coming tides stay safe people 🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@siflaxman5049 fantastic. Cheers for that. I had to wonder if that was were the helicopter machine gun scene from full metel jacket was filmed, as it was apparently filmed over the Norfolk broads but it look a lot more like salt marsh to me. That amazing about scot head, I always wanted to go there. I loved filming this video 👍🚐🍺
Great vlog Ben, the beach looked great and your frankfurter sausage dinner looked good. Posh people always ruin everything 😂. Keep up the good work. Stay yourself on RU-vid, people buy people and that’s the appeal. Norfolk boy living the dream, good on ya! Cheers, Helen & Dave 👍
Thanks. Yeah I loved that beach. That was a great adventure. That shel I found made my day as well. Apparently live rounds are often found. That old boy I was talking to has since been in the papers as his stifky bridge group keeps building bridges to the beach and the national trust keeps pulling them down. That always makes me smile 👍🍻🚐

New subscriber here too.. found your channel by chance this evening.. what a stunning area .. that beach! I love how you get out and about just walking and cycling in the local area like that and showing the campsites. I'll enjoy watching your back videos and your future ones. Greetings from the west of Ireland.☘️
Thank you so much. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for subscribing and watching. Also thanks for letting me now were my video is reaching. I absolutely love the west coast of Ireland and really hope to get back out there one day 👍🍻🚐
You don't need a tv face or radio voice to make good you tube videos mate. I think it's great that you are doing you. I also have a 2.0l bongo which I love. Good luck with the channel.
I am with you as i have got older my peace is within my solitude most of the people i no would go nuts alone i have never been like that think the key is No they self and you will never be lonely looking at doing a van conversion January- march for next year open new horizons🥳 :-) keep up the good vlogs peace
Love the vid 👍I suspect the reason why there was no one out on that beach is access and it's probably very dangerous too. A look on OS maps shows on one path on to it, and it's not surprising people get trapped out there. As for posh, it's a sad reflection on society today that North Norfolk is now just full of holiday and second homes, a drive round in the evenings in winter will sadly prove that with everywhere in darkness. Local people like yourself just can't afford to live there anymore, and with most probably from posh London, you have no chance of a hello from them. I'm originally from London and they won't even say hello to me, not that I want them too....😂 If you want really posh, go to Burnham Market, now there's posh with a capital P 😂
Yeah it is a dangerous beach and definitely a bit of a trek from the nearest car park . I absolutely loved this empty beach. Yeah it’s a shame haw things are these days. There is no hope of most of us getting a property. Thanks for watching 👍🍻🚐
Guinness is my favourite. In a lot of these early videos I was drinking bottles of tenants light, just because I’m on low carb diet and they are the only beer that’s low carb but can’t get them anymore. Guinness is my go to pint tho🍻👍
I lobe Blakeney. Cley Never had any problemsike you mentioned about snobbery Just checking. It's okay to cycle Along coastal path then. As I might book there. Can you also cycle to Wells along coast path
I think some people just assume I’m trouble because the way I look . I think there were a lot of raised part of the path with no cycling signs but you can definitely walk to wells as I did before I left. It’s a great site. Hope you have a great adventure 👍🚐🍻
