@@bubbag8895 My gaming laptop is 4 times more powerful and does get 60 fps on AAA games. The SD does not. Not on it's own screen and certainly not on external displays. So no it's not a gaming laptop replacement
I would recommend buying a TomToc case for your steam deck, it is significantly smaller than the backpack in the video, and it has room to carry all of the accessories! I have both a gaming laptop and steam deck case and I can say, the tomtoc case, has the ability to carry two portable powerbanks, charging cables, the dock, and the deck itself
Please, PLEASE put a correction about that K400 Plus keyboard. I bought one on recommendation from this video, but it is definitely NOT a Bluetooth keyboard. You have to use the included USB dongle, which means you have to plug in the USB hub to use it.
Before recently moving it over to my Steam Deck, I've been using the K400 Plus for almost three years with my Nvidia Shield TV Pro. It does NOT have Bluetooth.
I know that the video is going to have affiliate links but some reason this video seems not genuine. Hard to explain. I think its the amount of useless stuff that this guy is trying to peddle.
Heck yeah man, love steam deck videos! I agree with you on everything here. Except I don't bother with a keyboard at all personally. I've spent enough time in the desktop mode to get quite efficient using the controller and on-screen board. I admit though it was frustrating at first... By the way, good to see you're still making videos. Somehow your views and subscribers don't match the high production quality you got going on here. Keep it up!
One thing to note that you didn't mention regarding that battery pack you talked about is that you will not be allowed to bring it on an airline if you're traveling with it. The maximum capacity of a battery that you can bring on an airline is 20,000 mAh. So while the battery that you mentioned is a good one, plan on bringing something else with you if you fly. 👍
I have the baseus 30k and ive gotten through thailand, cambodia, and tokyo airports with it so far. Ill be headed to the USA in about a week so. The cut off for the airports so far has been 32,000mah.
Nice video, I'd highly recommend JSAUX' docks instead of that crappy ivoler one though - since both their build quality is superior and you get 4k60Hz bandwidth.
I would replace the battery for a Omnicharge, its more convenient to pack and the built-in inverter can be a lifesaver if you need to charge something that doesnt have a usb-c port
Nreal air AR glasses and a power bank takes less space. With just screen and keyboard alone it makes no sense. Just carry a laptop and steam deck in that case?
This is completely insanely useless. If you plan to carry all that stuff just get a gaming laptop. Waste of space and zero practicality despite claiming so.
anything that would make it more difficult to use a steam deck on an airplane is going to be hard no to the portable category for me. your so called "portable setup" is closer to a docked setup rather.
How did you get the Xbox controller to not have input delay on steam os. Mine is unusable with and Xbox controller but works fine with ps4 and Nintendo controllers
the moment you add differing control and/or display devices you are mitigating the portability of the system. adding a charger and/or protective accessory embraces portability
I needed a mouse for me, the TouchPad on the SD is just not comfortable so I got a cheerpod air mouse. It is super tiny, type c charging and it can fit in my hands super comfortably despite my huge hands.
3:15 I strongly disagree. It's not a must at all. Just don't drop it. If you bought the 512GB anti-glare etched screen variant don't put a screen protector on or you'll be losing all the benefits (and if so then why did you pay more for the costliest model version? certainly not for the small additional storage when the 1TB MicroSD cards are so cheap and plentiful.)
I have a question I bought a usbc dock for the steam deck but I notice it doesn’t have an Ethernet to connect. If I get an usb to Ethernet cable an put it on the USB port will work?
dude, just buy a laptop ffs i can get over somebody buying a steam deck, i personally don't need the convenience of handheld, but i understand that some people do, however if you're at the point where you're buying external keyboard, mouse, monitor, controller, battery, and buy a dock, you're just coping that you've bought a handicapped laptop, and you're coping by throwing money at it, which means that even if you've bought cheapest deck, after accounting for all these accessories, you're in the neighborhood of a decent gaming laptop fr
