Oh just some info if you decide to make an updated setup tutorial, I followed your other video and didn't have the HDR badge in the steamdeck brightness tab, I found out you have to set the codec option to H265 HDR (PS5) for it to work you can see it @3:57

Thanks Mega! Yes community layouts seem to keep changing for some reason - I’d recommend just downloading the one that has the most Likes as that should be the best one 🙌

I downloaded chiaki4deck from discover but it doesn't have the same ui and app icon as the one you show in this video? Edit: it has this ui and logo 3:26 but when you clicked update yours was a red logo app. I'm new to the deck so sorry if this is dumb

Never be afraid to ask questions King, we’re all learning together! 👊 Make sure you’ve updated Chiaki4deck to the very latest 1.6.4 - as you can see in the vid, they changed the icon and logo from green in 1.5 to this new red one in 1.6.0 👍 Let us know how you go on! 🙌

Internet connection is king, definitely plug your ps5 with a wired ethernet connection if you haven’t. Aside from that your own internet speed and the internet speed of where ever you’re playing are what makes the most impact

Thanks for the reply’s. It was because my PS5 was connected to Wi-Fi . Since I connected the Ethernet no FPS drops . Such a great app works amazing

In the Community Layouts tab, press 'X' button to Show All Layouts Alan and they'll appear 👍

@@PeteTalksTechI did that but unfortunately it still doesn't show anything, even rebooted a few times. Thankfully, the cloud had saved a previous layout. Didn't realise valve would factory reset the system when I sent it for repairs. Thanks for the reply though.

@@PeteTalksTech I was also wondering if you had some tips to help on a poor connection. I can't used wired right now and I'm getting the WiFi signal. Besides lowering resolution, is there anything I can do with the bitrate etc to help, or perhaps the remote play settings on the deck itself.

Ah yes as you say, a wired connection really is best. But if you absolutely can’t, then making sure the SD OLED is connected to the 5GHz signal not the slower 2.4GHz, and really the only other thing is making sure you have the fastest router you can buy, as the basic one given to us free from our internet service provider just doesn’t cut it when we do PS5 remote play as I talk about in this vid 👇 How I FIXED LAG on my PlayStation Portal… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qrZrtWoHRP4.html
