for anyone coming here - I totally understand my mic sounds hella off and I appreciate anyone who calls me out ahah I didn't notice that in post but watching back I can def hear it ill make an effort to make it sound better for y'all moving forward AND I appreciate all the love and support on the vid - y'all are awesome
Cool, I was actually going to comment about that. It just sounds like a vocal pattern from you moving around while you talk, which i get. I do it, what I ended up doing was switching to a wider pickup pattern with my microphone and tune the noise gating for it as i moved around and talked. Introduces some more chances for background interference though
When i bought my steam deck back in late april it was the best purchase decision ive ever made for any electronic device ever. Especially for gaming. Playing amazing PC games in handheld is a dream and it's also a huge emulator powerhouse. one the main reasons i bought it was because of emulation. It hasn't disappointed at all
I got my Steam Deck OLED about a month and half ago, and it pretty much replaced my Switch. I’ve been playing the crap out of Horizon Zero Dawn, Outer Worlds, and the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters. I’m definitely going to have to get Sea of Stars when it’s on sale at some point, since Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite RPGs of all time. Thanks!
I just got my Oled last week couldn't be happier as a husband/dad don't get to sit and play on my pc or ps5 as much as id like. But i been able to sneak my steam deck on the couch while hanging out or before bed backlog and even though it don't run great space marines 2 with some buddies been fun little device.
If I can make a suggestion, you mic was a little off in this video, it kept getting quiet and then back to normal, sounded like you were moving far away from the mic, but great video. Just ordered my deck yesterday
I appreciate the suggestion! I didn't really notice it in post but now I def do - ill keep that noted tho also super excited for you to get your deck !!
Have got my hands on both LCD and OLED, have to say OLED is totally worth it. Beautiful screen, way better temp and fan noise, noticeable performance improvement and last but not least, the battery life.
I was in the market for an ally. But i saw it on sale. £290 for the 512 version, i had to grab it quick. And good thing i did because it went oos immediately after. I managed to use the credit i had paid for the preorder. I opted against it, but ive been away from gaming for so long. I hope this can bring me back. Building a pc a few years ago didnt, but my main issue is sitting on a desk after working a deskjob
had mine 3 days and i might have to rma it cause the fans acting crazy other than that genuinely my favorite device just really angry im gonna have to go without it until its fixed
i was about to flame you for just getting a deck but you got it a year ago so ill just flame you to take a year for a review but ill let that slide for the quality of the video 😅😅😅
Ally X way better I am not giving up this thing. When steamdeck is gonna get more competitive in terms of hardware, maybe I will buy one and install an OS that won't hold me into one ecosystem only. We want 1080p OLED + VRR and yeah better performance, same or better as AllyX and people will buy it. There is no excuse to have the same perf as ally X since new apu is out btw.
It’s worth it if you don’t have a lot of money. You are losing out on features & horsepower but in a you get what you pay for world it’s fine. just don’t buy the 64 GB steam deck. You will end up with that entire SSD filled with junk files even if you never install a game on it. It doesn’t matter if you try to use sd cards. The 64 GB steam deck cannot function & should be taken off the market.
