I actually went from full on pc to steam deck. Have it docked in bedroom with 50"screen. Reminds me of the old days. Love it ❤. Great videos man. Great to see you feature on nerd nest podcast. Good job. Keep it going 🇮🇪

If you’re using the steam deck as a main pc look up cachyos handheld edition. If you install this you get a full blown archlinux distro.

@@steeveejee4647 I don't think I could bring myself to selling it but my better half uses it more than me now. Definitely has changed my relationship with gaming for the better 😁 I ran a 20m HDMI from the dock to tv and i have it docked on the jsauz alluminium stand with official dock and a skull and co sd case. Fits perfect. Really great to just chill with friends and play in docked

Just download through desktop mode. And set screen to dim in 30 seconds. And sleep to 300minutes or whatever the max allows

The part that confuses me is how they said that they needed to get that game to work on the steam deck. I played so many games that aren't supposed to work on the steam deck pretty flawlessly, so it's kind of weird that they're making it seem like it was hard to work on like the switch or something

I wonder if the release of Steam OS for general computers (i.e. not just the Deck), and the expanded market that will create, will make the current anticheat software too much of a hassle and just not worth dealing with for most companies? Because that will create a tonne of new lounge room and handheld gaming PC setups.

Never really thought Linux gaming would come so far in a short timeframe. Linux gaming really was stagnant until Valve came along. I was very hesitant to accept Valve and Steam a few years ago, but they seem to be the only company that's working to get things done and I respect that. Hopefully it continues for years to come

"No Rest for the Wicked worked on Steam Deck since launch" No it didn't. It would nearly kill the steam deck battery almost in 30 minutes and would crash every 10 minutes or so, hard, on both the LCD and the OLED models. The OLED model could launch and run it for a bit l onger, but same issues. NRFTW is an amazing looking game, but the game is extremely taxing for strange reasons, even an RTX 3070Ti struggles with the damn thing, even with DLSS on, it often de-syncs and locks on 30 FPS, other times it struggles to go above 50 FPS and thats on my desktop, the Steam Deck OLED struggles to even keep it at 30 FPS. All that said, they have made a LOT of improvements over the past few months, but to have a game that, as you put it, looks like Diablo 4, perform this badly, it makes me wonder what the heck is going on. Hopefully they can get it to run smoother, because it IS a very good game.

The elden ring issue has been fixed. Online play is available again. And I havent had any controller issues personally either.

The funny thing I've noticed is that RU-vid will highlight the Like button when you say "like button" in a video, but since you always say it the wrong way around it never highlights it for you.

I've never played Elden Rings because everyone I see playing it only fight lower lever characters and bosses..... I need a story to play games like these. Not much dialog. Just a hack and slash with a lot of grinding..... example Final Fantasy has a mix of everything that keeps me engaged.

If you think this title is clickbait then you don't know what clickbait means. I've been talking about wanting the wake on Bluetooth toggle since day one of the OLED. A clickbait title would be "Valve did what to the Steam Deck?!?" Or something that's flat out deceptive. I strive to have accurate AND clickable titles because (guess what) that's my job.
