De trein van de week is de stoom locomotief NZR AB class uit Nieuw-Zeeland.
Dit is een Class 4-6-2 Pacific tenderstoomlocomotief die reed op het nationale spoorwegsysteem van Nieuw-Zeeland voor de New Zealand Railways, de NZR.
Er werden tussen 1915 en 1927 in totaal 141 van deze stoomlocs gebouwd door NZR's Addington Workshops, A en G Price uit Thames in Nieuw-Zeeland en de North British Locomotive Company. De AB-klasse was de grootste serie stoomlocomotieven die ooit in Nieuw-Zeeland heeft gereden. Gelukkig zijn er zeven exemplaren bewaard gebleven die je natuurlijk bij 24Trains.tv in actie kunt zien.

The steam locomotive NZR AB class from New-Zealand is the train of the week.
This is a Class 4-6-2 Pacific tender steam locomotive that ran on New Zealand's national rail system for the New Zealand Railways, the NZR.
A total of 141 of these steam locomotives were built between 1915 and 1927 by NZR's Addington Workshops, A and G Price of Thames in New Zealand and the North British Locomotive Company. The AB class was the largest series of steam locomotives ever to run in New Zealand. Fortunately, seven copies have been preserved, which you can of course see in action at 24Trains.tv.
