I wish there was still a character like upgrade and old rabbit, not that I don't absolutely adore the new rabbit, I just think their personalities were great for the act. upgrade being googly over the spine and rabbit being the jokester, although I don't really know how she acts now. if she still plays the jokester then never mind.
+Randal Jack Rose I feel like more than anything, Rabbit used to be a lot meaner. He was always getting angry and trying to put up a fight. Now she's really tenderhearted, like in the J-Pop song intro bit where she sticks up for Hatchworth when Steve forces the Spine to slap him. Old Rabbit (especially in the busking days) probably would have laughed. Haha. Or her affection for the whales at the end of Vice Quadrant ^_^
Randal Jack Rose agreed I love the new band but I will always have these guys tucked in my heart. This is coming from the 5-8 year old in the very front of all their performances at Balboa Park.
i love how in the studio version upgrades verse sounds like. deep life advice then in the live version you see it's about rabbit controlling her with a magic melodica 💀
Him#1: This is stoopit, bye Him#2: I don't wanna act like a robot no more Him#3/Her/It: I don't know who the fuck I am, help me Her: I'm useless here, sigh
So "Him #1" is The Jon, Him #2 is The Spine Him #3/Her/It (please don't call her an it:)) is Rabbit and Her is Upgrade Edit: For clarification, Rabbit is not a him, she is a she
From what I know Erin (Upgrade) wasn't fully comfortable with singing in public, which is why she didn't do much singing on album one. She wasn't useless though, she was really funny and added a nice dynamic to the band.
