I don't agree with RU-vid hiding Dislikes. 128 Likes, 0 Dislikes, 2022-09-15. Just so you know what to expect from the Video.

If you don't already have it, get the 'Return RU-vid Dislike' chrome extension
@Genius_at_Work
@Genius_at_Work 2 года назад
@@XDHwilks I have it, but it will eventually become useless because it reads out Data from the RU-vid API, but the Dislike Count will be removed from that some Time later. Dunno if they are going to remove Information about Dislikes from RU-vid Studio too, that would make maintaining these Dislike Comments impossible. As of now, I always tell the Number visible from the Browser Add On, as they can be slightly off from the Numbers in RU-vid Studio.

@@Genius_at_Work Yea, hopefully RU-vid actually listens to all the backlash from literally everyone for once and brings it back, but I doubt they will.

@@XDHwilks "Protecting small Creators agaoinst organised Dislike Raids" is just a phoney Excuse. RU-vid's Advertising Customers complained about too much Dislikes under their Ad Videos, so you can forget about getting it back. Besides, Dislike Raids for ridiculous Reasons (e.g. triggering Conspiracy Theorist Whackjobs or Woke Twitter Morons, to name the two Groups of Idiots who usually do such Things) tend to boost small Channels a lot. A lot of sudden Traffic seemingly out of nothing is exactly what the RU-vid Algorithm likes the most.

@@XDHwilks Looks like RU-vid just removed Dislikes from the API too, thus rendering the Browser Add Ons useless.

Looks like a wonderful experience GaW. Over in Canada we called these 'Dummy' engines and although it no longer operates, one has been preserved in a small town here called Penetanguishine. After it's short time on the Hamilton and Dundas Radial Railway, it served the rest of its life up in Penetang switching a furniture factory.

Literally THE CLOSEST we can ever get to actually preserving Toby. Such a shame no one preserved LNER J70 Tram Engines...

I imagine them Engineers are cooking. I operated two B&W 700 Horse Power high pressure steam Boilers. All of us Engineers had mechanical thermometer in our shirt pocket. It would read about 125 deg-F when doing blow down procedures. Stationary Engineer is a great occupation. I think steam will be with us till the end of time.

The "Windscreen" (large Piece of Metal with three small Windows) can be removed, so the Steam Tram is one of the best ventilated Steam Workplaces in the World. The only better ones are early Steam Locomotives with no Cab at all.

Btw. B&W probably means Babcock & Wilcox? I thought about Burmeister & Wain first (Diesel Engines from Copenhagen/Denmark), but their last Steam Engine is over 100 Years ago, and I'm not even sure if they ever built Boilers at all.

@@Genius_at_Work Your correct, Babcock & Wilcox. They where Water Tube Type Gas and Oil fired. The fire box was small but I'm 6' tall and I walked upright in it. They had a cat walk on top, about 16' high. I worked on and operated some other older boilers from 1923, I just want to say that I enjoy your videos, outstanding!

It's owned and operated by a Club named Bernmobil Historique, and they run it a few Times per Year. Like on all other historic Vehicles of them (Electric Trams, Trolleybuses and Diesel Buses), Tickets for these Tours are available to the Public. The Steam Tram can run on just a few Lines though, where its slow Speed doesn't hinder other Traffic.

You can literally hear the Whistle at 00:40. They can't sound long Blasts because it's too loud for Pedestrians right next to it.

To be honest, I can see why old people are jealous of the old days, the streets, the machinery, it all just seems far more welcoming than modern glass skyscrapers and noisy "green" busses driving on natural gas.
