I've been following this boat since the first time I went on 'yachtworld' Many Moons ago. The work you have done is amazing..... Just wonderful. I"m going to re watch the cruise from L.A. to San Diego... So about that oil feed to the Shaft.... I"d mount it as six separate tanks at about chest level. Along with devising a way to pressurize any one of them separately. That way you can visually monitor actual use and attend to inconsistencies I worked on a hundred ton restaurant boat with like two graphite clutches on the two shafts.... If we hit a big snag (Potomac River) the graphite would take the ding and work it's way smooth over time. Each shaft had' it's own oil feed. Anyway wonderful boat, wonderful work you have done. Thanks for posting.

She is down the hill behind my apartment right now. I walk around her every day! I have been enthralled by her for 12 years now! I hope someday to have a tour!

5:29 AGA is a cool Swedish industrial gas company founded by Swedish inventor Gustaf Dalén. Dalén was quite the engineer, and even won the Nobel prize in physics. He also invented the AGA cooker while blind for his wife, which the stoves you’re referring to trace their origins from. AGA has been around since 1904, and the cooker since 1922.

For many years she was owned by the Fulford family of Brockville, Ontario, Canada as the "Majadoma". In 1908 she was loaned to Sir Wilfred Laurier as the Prime Minister's Yacht for the 300th aniversary of the founding of Quebec, Requisitioned by the Royal Canadian Navy in 1939 as a service launch between Gananoque, Ontario, and a recreational center on Leek Island in the Thousand Islands. The Fulford disposed of it after the war and it was derelict for many Years,

Lovely vessel, especially the engine room! Could you use the services of a retired BT?

Thank you. I think you'd have to contact the owner, but what steamship in preservation doesn't need a good BT on hand?
