In May 2024, DORDT IN STOOM, the largest steam event in Europe, will be held in Dordrecht for the 20th time. 250,000 visitors are expected. Entrance is free. A day ticket can be purchased for historical transport, the 'Steam Tour Dordt'.
On Friday, May 24, Dordt starts in Stoom with a spectacular fleet review. The event spans two areas in the city. The Steam Tour Dordt offers access to all means of transport for the event, including steam trains, historic buses, the Model Building Show, various ships, and steamboat tours. Dozens of steamships, steam engines, and steam engines can be viewed in the picturesque harbor area near Groothoofd and Merwekade. Steamboats cruise the river, and miniature steam trains are available for children. There are also model railways, miniature steam engines and model ships to admire in a large model construction show
