This video is a collection of my steamed cake recipes in different flavors. It also summarizes my experience of steaming cakes with different pots and molds. 🙏For those who want to try steaming cakes in this way for the first time, please read it first (it's a bit long):
1. I can't guarantee that you will be successful using this method for the first time. So try the 2-egg recipe first, and increase the serving size when you're successful.
2. The most common problem is that the cake will collapse into a pancake after turning off the heat. This is because too much water vapor accumulates in the cake and cannot be released, causing the cake to become heavy and collapse. This problem can be solved by adjusting the heat properly or opening the lid a little wider.
3. Since the heat accumulation of each pot and the heat of the stove are different, I cannot give you clear instructions one by one. The heat, time and lid openness shared in the video are for reference only.
4. It is recommended to use a pot with a glass lid so that you can observe the changes in the cake. Generally, the cake will start to retract after reaching the highest point. After the cake reaches that state, it only needs to be steamed for another 5 to 10 minutes before turning off the heat.

I discovered this method because once when I was steaming a 7-inch cake in a bamboo steamer, the cake accidentally hit to the top of the steamer lid and caused the lid opened a gap. I thought it would be a failure because the lid was opened, but that was the first time I steamed a cake with great success. After that, I changed the pot and steamed it all the time, and it should have happened more than 10 times. I really want to cry without tears and my heart is broken😭.... I'm afraid of eating just pancakes😨. After these negative emotions were over, I suddenly had an inspiration in my mind and remembered the accidental opening of the lid when I steamed a cake in a bamboo steamer for the first time. Afterwards, I tried steaming the cake by leave a gap on the lid. The situation has improved a lot, but it is not yet a success. After trying steaming a few more times, I became familiar with and mastered my own pot and heat, and then steamed a more perfect cake.
