Unrealistic. You forgot to add a 5 minute window after he left to cross the street where he stands outside the Krusty Burger trying to work up the courage to enter a busy place and stand in line with other people.
The pause after he considered purchasing fastfood and disguising it as his own cooking wasn't him being at a loss for words, rather he was playing out the scenario in his head, imagining several fantastical ways it would go wrong, including how he would handle accidentally finding himself shanghaied by a Krusty Burger employee
The part where Seymour struggles to come up with an explanation for the smoke and doesn't manage to force himself to speak until Chalmers leaves is just spot on, really makes me pity him.
There's another similar to it, but some thoughts: - First half is about dead on. - Second half the conversation seems less like SA and more like unscripted reality. Plus I'd think an SA person would focus more on putting out the fire as a way to distract from all those social blunders.
That's a good way to describe the second half. It didn't feel like social anxiety, it just felt like how a normal person would react if this were real life and not a comedic sketch.
@@duskstorm3560 Maybe if they had extreme tunnel vision to go along with it. I have social anxiety and one way I "cope" is to avoid difficult social situations by focusing on anything else. (in my case I usually get into some multi-hour project to avoid such situations before they start) SAD doesn't mean ignoring the house about to burn down.
Seymour seems to be doing pretty well here, but he is high on his medication, and this is not a lame exaggeration, he's also sweating profusely under his suit.
Literally me, I don't open the door for people usually. And when I do or when I talk to people or call people I get nervous, even talking over the internet makes me a bit nervous. (Granted I hope I wouldn't be so selfish as to let somebody literally die in the most agonising way.)
