Six Flags America has announced that the newly transformed steampunk realm, SteamTown: Where the Past Meets the Future, will open to guests beginning Saturday, June 22. Guests are invited by Professor Screamore to an immersive new land with the rich history of a western town, but riveting upgrades only the Professor himself could dream up. These enhancements are part of Six Flags America’s multiyear investment in new guest experiences and park improvements, including the recently opened RipQurl Blaster water coaster.

Peeps!! I'm glad they changed the harnesses.... LONG overdue. It doesn't look any smoother, but at least its not living up to its Mind Eraser name anymore. Glad they are finally investing in the park again.

This of my 2nd year purchasing a season pass for my grandchildren (7,6,4) and I will not purchase another pass until they grow taller because the rides they can enjoy are so outdated. The renovated rapids reminds me of Dutch wonderland boat ride that travels through the dinosaur exhibit. I’m under whelmed

Hi! I’ve watched a few of your videos this weekend. Six Flags America is my home park, and I rode Skywinder twice yesterday! I found you first looking for BGW videos, as I’m going there tomorrow. Can you offer some comparisons on coasters between the two parks? I used to be roller coaster averse, following my first ride on Loch Ness Monster when I was 6! 😂 But I’m on a personal journey to embrace coasters, and it’s going pretty well! I love all the coasters at SFA, and had no hesitation with Skywinder yesterday. I’m most nervous about Pantheon, Tempesto, and Griffon, though I’ve watched a bunch of videos and might be able to just go for it! 😊 But any insight you can offer to help me tackle BGW would be great. Along the lines of, if you can do Superman first row, then you can handle X, or Y is not much worse than Z. Or which of the BGW coasters to try first to ramp myself up for others (or just start big!). Any advice? Thanks!

Hey Isabel! Honestly…if you can handle Skywinder, you can absolutely handle anything BGW can throw at you! Tempesto is a bit different as it’s more of a looping coaster, but Griffon is fantastic and doesn’t even go upside down! Tempesto is probably the one that I can’t think of a comparable one at Six Flags. It has multiple launches and goes backwards at one point, but honestly, it’s so smooth it really should be fine, especially if you can handle the likes of Ride of Steel, Batman, or Jokers Jinx! @@IoMGeek Thanks again for your encouragement! I rode everything at Busch Gardens today, most things twice because it was a relatively slow day. Pantheon was awesome! So I rode it 4 times! 😆
