That blue D&H RS3 was commonly seen as the tail end of Steamtown trains in the early days of the park.

That blue was called Russian Blue and was common on Canadian Pacific steam engines. This was shot during the first Railfan Weekend around 1985 or 1986

It’s upsetting how mainline steam excursion operations aren’t like this anymore. Wish they will just come back to the mainline in the future! Who agrees with me?

Totally understand your concern. LOVE to see 20 plus car trains romp north past Syracuse or Portland near Delaware water gap. Even though that may never happen anytime soon. Hope they can rebuild some of their CNJ or DLW coaches soon
