Fix a Hoover Steam Vac / Vax Dual V carpet cleaner with brushes that have seized up due to constant leaks. Bearings may have failed, but the fix is easy.
Usually the only fix is to purchase a new brush motor, but they are not easy to find and they're increasing in cost. This solution keeps the cleaner going strong and avoids sending it to the landfill.
The same technique should work for other extraction cleaners of similar design. (I'm getting reports that the same fix works for Vax Dual V, All Terrain and other brands too!)
