On a land once occupied by Firehawk and Dinosaurs Alive! comes Kings Island's tallest and fastest rollercoaster, Steel Beast. With the addition of Steel Beast comes a massive expansion in X-Base, with a new souvenier shop, restaurant, seating, and restrooms. To the left of the entrance is a "History of the Beast" monument, paying homage to The Beast and the ill fated Son of Beast. Much like its predecessors, Steel Beast breaks records as the tallest (345 ft) and fastest (97 mph) non-launced rollercoaster in the world, along with being the longest (6,658.8 ft) steel coaster in North America. Steel Beast would round out Kings Island's collection of world class thrills with the likes of Diamondback, Banshee, The Beast, and Mystic Timbers. It's all in the family. Coming Spring 2020.
