Posting a video everyday to see how long I can do it for. Each of them are going to have a little about me and my life. Just a little rant on my experience with blue steel boots. #Vlog #Blog #Challenge
My safety boots only really last about a year for me as a Traffic Controller. Arguably similar time on my feet, but no as hard yacka as the shit you're doing. So i'm kinda used to replacing them every so often anyway. I find the insides wear out and not even new insoles fix it, after that long, at least.
lol, your boots lasted two years and you're complaining, and they tore becuse you used them for a purpose they're not intended for, bless your heart, you're a special one aren't you. Walking around in the dirt, get a construction job, you'll be lucky to have your boots last six months.
So you bought a pair of workboots, that lasted a year of daily working, plus a year of sporadic work. And youre complaining? Seems like they are pretty decent boots in my opinion. Especially since you said they were very comfortable. My cat premiers dont even last that long. Realistically, a year per pair of workboots is an expected business expense. 4 years of daily hard work is laughable tbh. No pair of boots, shoes or otherwise would last that long, even just walking around. Even nicks dont last that long without being refurbed.
I find most of these work boots are GARBAGE! I had a pair of Puma 6” (the tornado?) boots, which the side stitching blew out on the first job i wore them on & had to patch them up with waterproofing membrane to get me through. FFS. Its all fricken marketing BULLSH!T!!! Nubuk leather is GARBAGE. PU soles are GARBAGE. Cemented construction (soles glued on) is GARBAGE, but all sole as “benefits” as if it make their boots better. Fcking BS! Dont even get me started on the narrow, pain causing toe boxes either. 🤦🏻♂️ Boots should feature rough out leather that is naturally cut resistant & good year welted which is replaceable if need be. But these manufacturers deed us bullsh!t at top tier prices! Sure have a velcro and/or zip design etc, but just use some fricken quality materials & construction method FFS! So sick of modern day crap!!!
he was using them on his motorbike, actual bike boots have a triple stitched extra leather where your boot meets the shifter, but these don't so therefore it's going to rip through them
You need fxd boots. I work conservation in North Queensland, lots of moisture heat and rough conditions, not to mention riding dirt bikes and quads as part of the job, my pair had held up for 2 years and still have their scuff plate in tact after kicking the shit out of things everyday
mate that's just what I needed to hear, I'm looking at the WB4 FXD's, they look amazing ! What else can you tell me, the waterproofing is so important.
@@livingadamman7994 honestly the waterproofing was the one thing I was disappointed by, they're pretty good for dealing with heavy dew but if you're stomping through mud or working in the rain a lot you'll want to coat them with some spray on waterproofing like armour-all. Other than that though compared to Blundstone, steelblue and even Oliver boots they have held up better than anything I've had through those other brands.
@@jaimiefuller2032 Thank you mate. Sounds better than the top Aussie brands, I've had them all. Not too impressed. Would you give them thumbs up for comfort over the Steel Blue Hobarts, which are comfortable but won't be buying again if I can help it.
@@livingadamman7994 haha bit of a hard one to answer in a single word but long term definitely better, short term though they can be pretty stiff around the heel and where they've got the ankle protection but after about 2 weeks of work they seem to wear in really nicely
Oliver better than steel blue, working in vineyard, doing all the vine work. Gt one for a year and a half, still workin great, cracks a little. But better than shit blue :)
Olivers have a waterproof boot also be perfect for irrigation I had blunstone boots buggered after 7 months was going to try steelblue won't now will get a pair of oliver boots
@@jonnysmith7962 good choice, I recently upgraded my oliver boots to fxd, something for the new year new boots lol. I was thinking about gettin the blundstone boots bcus of how great their gumboots are (been using one for a year with no issues compared to bogs) . Kinda relieved didnt gt them blundstone boots 🤟🏻 anyway, happy new year!
@@jonassl2864 yeah my first pair blundstone were ok but got second pair with zip had issues not waterproof and inside boot would rub on heels had tape them up are Oliver's as comfortable as they claim nearlly got steelblue happy didn't fxd are they comfortable if walking alot in them cheers
My pair are 3 years old and still in one peice. No complaints. I work in a warehouse and on stand up forklifts so walk on flatter floors and don't get wet like yours or ride motorbikes with them.
@@pooliptico9700 the only reason I still have them is because work was passing me around in supplying a new pair of steel blues. They ended up giving me the kmart special which I refuse to wear so I'm just saving on the side for another decent pair. Times are tough.
Yeah screw that boots are one thing you don't cheap out on. Well it doesn't help that they aren't cheap. I'm just thankful I'm in a job where they have to supply decent boots now.
