Working time approximately 50 hours
30hgsa steel, 1.5mm
This is the video in which I left the sounds of work and the environment. I think this is interesting and the video sequence is perceived quite differently. And I tried to work on sounds and correct transitions between work areas.

I'm just waiting for the episode where you walk in to start, grab the metal sheet, wack it with a snap cut straight to the completed item and let the credits roll haha.

This is criminally underrated, my man. We need much much more content like this, it’s inspiring. Especially for someone with access to tools like this and in the fabrication profession 😜

Absolutely gorgeous! But what are your thoughts on it's combat worthiness? I'm thinking too many raised edges for weapons to catch on, too many flat parts to serve as anvils for a sword, club, mace or pole arm. Still looks awesome, though!

What kind of press are you using to bend the pieces? Neat little tool.
@frans42000

I want to know too. Usually these are large (too large) hydraulic machines. I want a nice small one like that.
@raymondarabaal1926
@raymondarabaal1926 Год назад
1 mm steel you can bend with your bare hands.
@townwitchdoctor5538
@townwitchdoctor5538 Год назад
It's called an Arbor Press if anyone still wants to know. IDK if it's a 1 or 3 ton. This is more than 1mm steel, probably 2 or even 3 for most of it anyway. Helmets and breastplates use the thickest steel, arms are more usually 1.6, smaller parts 1.4 or less. In metal 0.2mm is a big difference.

Instead of all the effects why don’t you actually show people how you do it? It’s a bit of overkill
@matthhood
@matthhood Год назад
If I recall hes showing exactly how it all is done, but to save time so you don't have to see a 6 hour video he puts the effects in as a fun way to shorten it.
@TrebleForTheBass
@TrebleForTheBass Год назад
@@matthhood nobody said he couldn’t edit out the in between stuff. There are plenty of craftsman channels out there that show the steps used to achieve certain parts. When all you show is effects, it doesn’t give anybody an idea of how it was done which is the magic of craftsmanship. You don’t have to show every single little step in real time
@apexiv6919
@apexiv6919 Год назад
He shows every process at least once. There’s no point showing curving pieces in the press lots of times or rolling edges
@BigHenFor
@BigHenFor Год назад
@@TrebleForTheBass But nothing is stopping you to go looking for it. You might like a one stop shop, but there is one here. Go find it.
