Steel is more elastic than rubber

Why steel is more elastic than rubber? is one of the most general misconception which every science student has. The young's modulus stated that the higher the stress in body is required for minimum strain i.e to change its body shape in lengthwise the higher the elasticity will be. But why the rubber ball jumps or bounce more than steel ball? This is because when the object is collided with another surface, surface molecules get deformed or displaced which cause lower bounce if displacement or deformation will be higher. steel will bounce most as it will fall on the elastic surface like steel. Due to elastic collision. #shorts #science #physics #experiment #education ‪@CONCEPTUALGURUJI‬

My mind hanged when I first studied that steel is more elastic than rubber.

Let me clear it very simple We know youngs modulus is ratio of stress and strain. 1 in rubeer by producing small amount of force , change in length is so much So stress(small value)/ strain( bigger value) If bigger value is in denominator ans will be to small 2 for steel force applied is so much and change in length is so small So stress( big value) / strain ( small value) If smaller is the value of denominator ans will be big 2nd method to memorise As youngs modulus is ratio of stress and strain. We can see that modulus is directly proportional to stress and inversely proportional to strain. 1 In steel more force is required , hence ans will be big 2 in rubber more strain occur, hence ans will be small I did my all efforts to explain 😅

Elasticity is the tendency to regain its original shape size or state of equilibrium after deforming force is removed and as steel tends to regain it original shape , position faster than rubber does it is said to be more elastic

Elasticity is the property of the material of the body by virtue of which the body opposes any change in its size or shape caused by an external force clearly greater is the force required to produce a given change in size or shape of the body the more elastic the body is said to be . If we take steel and rubber wires of equal length and cross section and a larger force would have to be applied to the Steel wire in order to produce equal extensions in their lengths.

Simply we can say that elasticity is inversely proportional to delta l by l , of we applya same force then we observe more change in length in rubber than steel so therefore steel has more elasticity

the result shall be interchange when steel ball will be bounced over a steel floor. Due to elastic collision there will be least loss of kinetic energy. As a result the height attained by the ball will be max

Steel is more elastic than rubber band because if we applied deforming force on steel ,it results very less as compared to rubber due to this steel avoid to lose its original shape and size(concept of elasticity)MPOS

@devesh9378
@devesh9378 Год назад
@@communist_amoeba3923 exactly , elasticity is the property of any material to regain its original shape and size after any force applied is Removed . Steel ko pull Karne mai bohot jyada force lagta hai na aur press karne ke liye bhi , that’s why who elastic hai zyada. Ab baat aye rubber ki toh hai kuch aise substance/ material note hai Jo bohot thode force we hi deform hi Jatte hai but unka plastic conversion wala point high strain par hota hai , Inko elastomers bolte hai . Rubber is elastomer aur tissues bhi hote hai .
