That last inversion is the kicker! I have never felt such dread with my hands up in this element. I have spoken to many riders and hands up for this element alone makes it.
This is my *FAVOURITE* ride in Australia so far. Haven't tried DC Rivals Yet but at the moment, steel taipan is my *FAVOURITE* ride ever. I *LOVED IT* so much that I never ever want to stop riding this.
I went on this ride today, and I’m with you, the first launch is very weak, and you are right it does feel like it just glides through the track. The inversions were FANTASTIC! Definitely would ride again 🧡
everytime i’ve visited Taipan’s operations are fast and very efficient, even with the the RFDI reader it’s faster then Rivals or Village’s overall operations.
Interesting! A few times that I've been, there hasn't been any lines, so it was hard to really judge since they weren't consistently operating anyway. But the few times I have been with crowds, they were running one train and it was very slow. Good to hear they are capable of running it quicker, hopefully I'll experience that next time!
@@MaloneysCoasters normally when i visit (2 train scenario) the first train is dispatching as soon or shortly after the second train parks, even with one train i still find it to be pretty fast compared to other big rides at the village parks.
Interesting point on the straight track causing it to have less speed, would you say it results in better hang time on the inversions. I’m sill looking forward to getting on my first blue fire, but copperhead strike has a slower launch and it results in great hangtime.
Unfortunately it’s not slow enough for good hang time. It tends to run at a speed that isn’t fast enough for positive Gs, but also not slow enough for hang time.
I feel it would be way better if it went a bit further forward when going onto the launch section, and starting with a reverse launch into the spike then coming back through too the layout. The first launch forward is just meh and wasted space imo
