When I built my own Tuna I ordered the case from Ali Express. The seller offered three different case backs to choose from: Steeldive, Addiesdive and Heimdallr (no difference in price) So at least the cases are probably made by the same manufacturer...
@@ShortBetter I'm sorry but that was almost 2 years ago. I can't find it anymore. But it was interesting indeed. They also offered a 300m water resistant version. I didn't knew any of those brands back then. So I opted for the Heimdallr case back because I liked the shark logo the most...
I have the Steeldive I use as a work watch. The build quality is outstanding for the price, it's built like a £300 watch at least. Bought mine for £70 delivered. I guess I prefer the black date wheel and black on the second hand. Not really a deal breaker though.
did you noticed that seiko asked for them arround 599 €? that the drive cames as a mod of (NH35 / NH36 (4R35 / 4R36)? that seiko produced in china an malaysia and korea? the case glasses are not "seiko" buy a iphone for 1300 €. made for 80 € in china by foxconn. you had written that it isn't a dealbreaker. yes it is ! if seiko had made this. the watch cost 2 - 3000 €.
I bought the Steeldive,just becuse they offered a colourway that addies didnt,but I am kind of regretting paying the premium ovr the addies dive,but I bought the addies 1000m Puck as wel for a ridiculously good pricel so shouldnt be unhappy really lol
mine has just arrived,very nice, but... there seems to be something odd with the calendar window and lower dial and the position of the date nubers,I swear this one something is slightly out,numbers slighty to the right of the window, defo noticeable on 8, 11 etcand mebbe the half marker slightly to left of window,or slightly skewed? OR it could just be my eyes, but I really looking square one etc be interested to see yours @@ShortBetter EDIT TO ADD.. alsothis defo has mono colour lume, not the blue bezel green markers /hands,are there 2 versions of this?
Yes, my 6 oclock half marker is placed to the left slightly, not in the middle between the adjacent marker dots or directly under the calendar window.Not sure what to do now as once seen I cant unsee it, but is isn't major as such.But it will really annoy me,sigh.

Sono fondamentalmente lo stesso prodotto , a parte la differenza del colore della lancetta secondi che nello steedive posteriormente è nera , il resto sono identici , fa pensare siano prodotti dalla stessa azienda ma con 2 loghi diversi , fa supporre per lo meno , anche se steeldive dipende dai periodi ma è sempre piu costoso parliamo di poca roba ma piu caro
1st of all! if you measure from a different amgle - and if it is not a cyrcle there will be a distance. the same with the height. booth have a35 drive. but after a week i know that the steeeldive with the blackdacte is closer 2 the original. at 5:19 whats wrong with your eyes? watch the "addiesdive" addies lume is smaller an fat - he steeldive lume is more flat and wider. addies crown is fat and goes thin - steelwatch crown is a tube ... at 5:25 - addies anti reflecting coat is blue - steeldive not. at 5:33 take a lool at addies minute hand - and steeldive minute hand - they are diferent!

From my viewpoint I see the steel dive the winner. You can see in this video when you pause them side by side the SD has a better sheen on the brushing, as if it were done to a higher standard. I bought the steel dive Starbucks and the black SD Willard which blew me away. I can’t find much fault in them.
Nope. After reviews + modifying both models, I can say that the case is the same. But the quality of the hands and dials in different. Steeldive is still better. But if you are just buying an everyday watch, then it won't be very different
Both Addiesdive and Steeldive use Seiko NH-35 automatic movement, almost a standard in Chinese watches in their price range. There's cheap versions of this Tuna watch, under "brands" like Lige, Foxbox, QuingXiya... these use Chinese Sheng Long SL-28 Quartz movement, a low cost copy/clone of the cheap (Citizen) Miyota 2115. SL-28 was nicknamed by Asian guys as "the tin machine" or "the tin mechanism", due this similarity can replace the SL-28 with Miyota 2115 "plug and play" in those watches.
How about someone do a pressure test between these different manufacturers. I have a few of these, but I don't really have the same faith in their depth rating that I do in my Seikos and Citizens.
Fair point. How deep do you dive? If they claimed this tuna is 300m waterproof, how deep most of people dive? 0-30m? And if they go deeper than 30m, would they even use this watch?😅 It's a good question... If the qualities they advertise are real, but do we really need it to be real?🤔🤔 Sorry, the philosopher woke up in me suddenly 😅😅
@@ShortBetter The issue for me is not the depth per say, but the time under pressure. Maybe 30 meter sustained. I have had budget 200m stamped diver fail while working in water and another fail working in a river. The one big thing that name brands have is a long reputation for quality. We know a Seiko and a Citizen can and are truely rated.
Cristian , la respuesta es no , el gas que usa Luminox es superior , incluso te cuento que hasta casi molesta en la noche . Ahora un Luminox Navi Seal debe andar cerca de los 400 dólares y el Addiesdive cercano a los 50 , el Lumen del Addiesdive es espectacular ,casi como el de mi Seiko Kinetic Prospect. Yo estoy ya listo para traer la marca Addiesdive a Chile , traer maquinaria Miyota si quieres hacer un upgrade y también cristal de Zafiro para adaptarle , voy a crear un monstruo de reloj , exclusivo para el mercado Chileno y a un precio súper ajustado . La marca me tiene muy conforme ,las adaptaciones las haré yo mismo y también se puede hacer algo personalizado . Price and need. This "clo'mage" use (Seiko) NH-35, a good movement for the price. After all what difference make few seconds plus o minus for the typical wrist watch user? The seconds hand serves only as visual feedback that the watch is working.
