Hey Steele, I found your "accident" video a couple of weeks ago and it has really helped me in my ACL recovery and made me realize that I'm not the only person who felt the way I felt about an injury. I just want to thank you for being a Christian example and spreading God's word through this amazing platform you have, both at the olympics and here at on RU-vid. Good luck at all your meets!

I think this is an older video, but, hang in there buddy! You are suceeding greatly in this area of your life (dedication to your fans/vlogs). i’ve never seen an athlete share so much of their day-to-day happenings. It's a gift to those who admire your dedication, drive, & tremendous talent! I’m in absolute awe of what you can do. Your diving is exquisite. I love the commentary from #teamsteele after your first failed dive... "Awww STEELE!!!" 😂 You win some, you lose some. Still, amazing job and you're an inspiration! Hope you're enjoying college.. As much as I love watching your videos, if your heart isn't in it, maybe it's time for a break... Maybe you're spreading yourself too thin?, which in turn prohibits the good ol creative juices from flowing. You gotta do what you gotta do to take care of yourself and what makes you happy!

Hey dude! Great diving. I think it's really great that you showed all the dives even the failed one because it just shows that not everyone is perfect and even Olympic silver medalists have their off days. You still dove amazingly though. You're a big inspiration, keep up the great work man!!

Glad your over feeling better and over the flu! Having a fever sounds like it was a bad one. Great to see ya competing again. Those 1m and 3m dives looked good and your savvy enough to know when a dives gone south to save yourself. Nice vid and update. Busy time of the year for school and everything, stay healthy and well :)

Didn't know you had your instagram site, nice to see some "old school" film output from you. Always liked film vs digital (no debate-bate intended on video format). There are just certain aspects of the detail captured on film that cannot be replicated on digital (without post processing) -- I started photography before the digital age, so I am a little biased. Keep up the good work! I liked working with B&W in my past photography life, playing with lighting, contrast and all. . .also alot less expensive then color. Hope you enjoy our 35mm SLR adventures! Also best of luck on your collegiate diving endeavors this year, B10 "Diver of the Week" already is pretty impressive! Be well!

Hey Steele, I noticed the content change on your Instagram and I also followed the 2nd insta account. But please consider continue posting your Instagram pictures as "the Diver Steele". I get that you are leaning those posts towards a professional photographer aspect. I thought that the abrupt cut off for the last video was intentional because the last thing that you said was that you didn't want to film any more. It sucks that it didn't upload the whole video though. And third place after one failed dive is not too shabby.

I use to dive in HS and I remember just being a little overconfident in a step or short on one, you end up hitting that spot all wrong and the board carries you forward. It was like bad nostalgia all at once. Loved seeing your dives though.

I watched that 'failed' video and actually thought you got away with the cut as you were saying you didn't plan on filming anymore. I took it as a clever joke! A shame you decided to scrap it, as I loved the way you faded out of the montage, but maybe you can use that trick again another time. - I don't use Instagram, but have seen some of your photography. Really cool that you are enjoying it so much. I'm currently obsessed with Autumn right now. Barely leave the house without my camera!😁

I once tried to dive from a 1 meter platform, but belly flopped. It was quite traumatic for me haha & I haven't tried since, but after watching this video, I just might.

does it hurt to hit the water on your dives, even when you have a really clean entry?

If you cup your hands right you created a pocket on entry that prevents injury if you enter it right. Or you point your feet to create a pocket. If you don't, you get smacked by the water wherever the integrity holds the best (flat surface).
