Lips Of Rain was filmed at The Bonneville Salt Flats and on the hills of Malibu, California. The Salt Flats is a densely packed salt pan in Tooele County in Northwestern Utah. The area is a remnant of the Pleistocene Lake Bonneville and is the largest of many salt flats located west of the Great Salt Lake. Entertainment filmed at the salt flats include portions of Knight Rider, Warlock, Independence Day, SLC Punk, Cremaster 2 from Cremaster Cycle, The Brown Bunny, The World's Fastest Indian, Gerry, The Tree of Life, Top Gear, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End & "LIPS OF RAIN” - “ STEELHEART".
The video was shot in three days with temperatures rising to the high 90’s and a UV rating of 8. Despite of all the challenges, the crew pulled together and shot an amazing video.

This song is pure magic. Every part of it has a unique vibe, and the combination makes an exceptional piece of music. I love the young Mili's voice, but the older Mili of today has a more mature voice that still features the technical aspects of his early years. Last but not least, I need to mention the quality of the video. In a time of clips with one thousand pictures every second, this clip with just two beautiful locations (Bonneville Salt Flats and Malibu) conveys an atmosphere of stillness and serenity. I really admire the genius of Mili as a composer, lyricist, singer and director.

Mili is still an incredible vocalist especiall considering all the rehab he had to go through after that horrific stage accident back when Steelheart was just getting the recognition it deserved. This man is INCREDIBLY talented!!!

Milijenko Matijevic is a legend, STEELHEART has had some amazing ballads. Early 80’s ROCKER here, BIG HAIR BANDS is my style. Nothing like 80’s / early 90’s TRASHER METAL, HARD ROCK, and OH THE LOVE BALLADS for sharing with the ladies. I’m 57 years old and still love a slow love ballad to do a lil bump and grind with a hot lady that can take my mind back to those days. The 80’s early 90’s the GREATEST TIMES and ERA OF THE GREATEST MUSIC OF ALL TIMES. When I die I want to live in peace back in the 80’s and dance eternity away with the angles that have past before me.

I'm not expecting the Steelheart of yesteryear, but damn, Milli still has a fantastic voice. Haven't heard a song yet from the forthcoming Steelheart album that I have not liked. I especially like this song. The lyrics bring me back to another time and allow me to remember a past life that is long gone. Things like this are why music is life for me. Great song Milli🤘

Just 5 months ago, I heard this beautiful masterpiece for the 1st time and loved everything about it, the piano [that sounds like child's play] vocals, lyrics, violins, etc. . . TU MILI! 😘 Then I suddenly lost my baby brother, who was like my twin & my soul sibling, just 4 months ago; 1/11/2020 RIP JOHN MILLER MACK, III & now everytime I hear the beautiful simple piano ballad, I'm balling like a baby mourning him but, also imagine us playing as children again to that piano ballad. . . the song is fantastic, I love it, but....who the hell mixed the vocals? they sound like he's singing while holding his nose, when I listened at first I thought something was wrong with my headphones. And it's not just that, I'm sorry but the vocal mix is absolutely terrible throughout the song. the rest of the songs released so far aren't that much better either. The first single was entirely done with that shitty vocal effect that sounds like recording a telephone call. Really, I'm frustrated that a singer of Miljenko's caliber gets such shit audio engineering, we need to hear his voice in all its glory, not this shit. Especially since the instrumental is mixed well and the songs are great. I hope at least the other songs are better in this regard

yeah not to mention She's Gone is where his High notes really are... when he did that song live back in early 90's it would pierce your ears...Steelheart was ALWAYS one of my favorite bands to see ... full of energy and just a fun great show..... Milli...BRING YOUR ASSES BACK TO THE NEWPORT MUSIC HALL BROTHER!!!! I have met them 3 times back then....ALWAYS super nice guys one time I got a Corona bottle from John Fowler (RIP) and they all signed it.

I just wish I knew the true meaning behind it.. I don’t think it is just a simple love song.. I believe it is much deeper that that because something similar to this song happened before and around the time that I met the woman I am in love with.
