I loved the fact that you also went through the overall construction quality of the keyboard, which is very helpful since I'm a heavy typer and quite heavyhanded.
I'd go with brown, because they're in between red and blue. Quiet, but still some tactility. My housemates would probably be happier as well that I'd not be going with blue and I do like the idea of some sort of balance.
Mechanical keyboards will always make more noise than membrane keyboards. You're literally pressing mechanical switches. Brown when compared to blue is relatively quiet. Red even more or one of those 'red silent' switches.
I absolutely appreciate the reviews on both these keyboards. You actually talked about them rather then lazily read off text word for word off of their website.
As an Arctis 7 owner, I really appreciate the test with the headset to see how much key sounds it picks up. I do hope that this problem can be solved with discord voice pick up threshold while gamimg with friends. Thanks for the review.
Your very underrated this was a great review and at first was on the fence of buying this keyboard but when i saw this video it told me everything i wanted to know thanks for making this really appreciate it.
just bought one, 2 weeks ago with the red linear switch and one of the best purchase i made since this cost almost the same price as the apex pro in my country the the SRP USD which is around $200
I don't know why you don't have that many subscribers compared to others. I liked your video very much (and the information you gave me). This is the first video I watch from you, and it won't be the last for sure. Keep it up! PS: I also liked your humor, I fr laughed 😁.
Just found your channel looking at mech keyboards - I think you're my new favorite tech CC, great video, good pace, covered all the important info I'd be looking for in this kind of video and you were very very entertaining. Big thumbs up on the content!
That was awesome man! I've just bought a Corsair K68 with Blue Switches and I love it, so I've got a whole new apprechiation for other keyboards! Really good video man!
Nice review m8! Got one yesterday on amazon with the brown switches. This will be my first mechanical and I'm planing it to last quite some years. I hope it lives up to the dream!
These have a 40 euros discount today (black friday), and I'm really thinking about picking this one up. I actually wanted to get the brown ones, bcs they're a bit quieter. I'm not too sure on what I want to do. Great review though man, really good quality. You're very underrated to be fair! Keep it up.
This is going to help me a lot, getting a pc this Christmas and I'm undecided on the switches. I like TKL tbh because I don' t really use the number pad but I still don't know which switches to get. I don't want them to be too loud but I also kind of want to hear them, but I have a work keyboard because I just found it lying around and it doesn't sound good, so I don't want the keyboard to sound like that.
dude, you got a thumbs up just for the classical music, wish i could give another for the great indepth review without all the fluff and filler the bjillion other channels go into
i have blue and red switches keyboard (cougar and redragon) and planning to get a brown one. I think I'll buy this keyboard with the brown switch. thank you for your review. cheers!
Great videos man, you really do great reviews and I really enjoy the classical music. One thing tho, could you please use some more cheerful kind of classical music instead of these sad tones. Just a suggestion, great work otherwise!
Can you help me understand why the cable splits to two at the end? i just purchased my first gaming computer, monitor etc. I want to buy this keyboard but where do you plug the two ends of the keyboard as i assumed there would just be one that goes into the p.c. ''one is for the pass through'' meaning one end goes into that part of the keyboard? which means the other p.c? if so that means i must put the p.c within that small range of my keyboard? ( i hope that makes sense)
how u do that program . is it in the keyborad or is it downloadable ,,,i have seeen many reviews and i like it alot but no describes how u get that on screen programable things u can change on keyboard . ALSO what is the differces between the APEX 7 AND THE APEX 9 .
My favorite switches have always been blues. I just can't get enough of the audible click and tactile bump, much to the dismay of everyone I talk to online
Waiting for my Apex 7 with blue switches to arrive the next days - I just love the sound I orderd from SS directly on christmas eve for a price of 113,99 Euros. 3 days later I got an email saying I got a refund and they are out of stock. My luck, an electronics marked near me here in Germany had it for 111 Euros - 22% discount. So I bought it for 86,50 Euros, very decent price I think
Just ordered me one of these with brown switches, tried reds and found I do not like the linear feel, had the g910 Orion Spectrum with Romer-G's for 3 years but 3 keys had started double typing.
Thank you, nice review in all. However, your scene transition effect is a bit jarring, and combined with the quick pace of the review gives an unsettling feeling.
I'm currently running browns but I've sorta moved away from liking them and I'm planning on trying out reds. I just feel like the tactile bump makes my browns a bit heavier than I'd like. Genuinely considering this keyboard though
There isn't an Apex 7 pro it's just called an Apex Pro, they're similar but the Apex Pro is overall better and on the OLED screen on the Pro you can customize the actuation of the switch, it ranges from 0.4 mm actuation all the way up to 3.6, you cannot do this on the Apex 7, it just has regular red linear switches.
According to popular YT myths, leaving a useless comment like this one and also giving the video a thumbs up is supposedly gonna boost the video in the algorithm.
