Found your channel watching the arctis 5 review and that video was hilarious man haha. Love your videos and your energy just keep it up wish u all the best and succes!
These are so clean, they look as comfy like you said. I am not a big fan of the RGB, but on a headset, might be a little cool, it's not much it's just a little RGB. Sounds really good bro. Awesome video bro, another clean and amazing video.
No, just use your brain & it's all elementary for figuring out. if ALL parts are equal as in hardware then they should sound the same. Sound emulation is 💩 & has been for decades.
bought my arctis 3's on your recommendation and couldnt be happier! been looking online tho for the chat mix dial and cable that comes with 5 bc i play pc now, you think that would work?
On an Xbox X (or S) it seems the Arctic 3 is the best choice. Why? Because it'll sound identical to the 5 as you can't use any customization options on the Xbox.
One thing I don't understand is why the Arctis 5s have RGB on the earcups. You literally can't even see them, what's the point? Great video though, keep up the good work!
How does the arctis 5 and 3 compare to the other headsets like the Blackshark v2 x, v2, hyperx cloud alpha/cloud 2 and the cooler master headset? Are you gonna do a mega headset comparison?
Hi I just want to help you guys in comment section, if you are specially looking for phone gaming like PUBG cod etc, go for arctis 3 it's cheaper and sound quality is top notch comparing to price, I have both of them fromy experience to be honest arctis 3 is good enough for phone gaming Price arctis 3 - 35£ Artis 5 - 99£ So lastly this info is just for phone gaming
I was wondering, could you make a comparison video between arctis 3 and whyperx could alpha s? and does anyone know which one is more comfortable in terms of usage for long sessions.
What about background noise canceling for both? Which is better? Are the 3s still good without the software to put the noise canceling on high? How well can they handle a loud keyboard?
good review as usual It would be even better if you do typing test while doing the mic test, so we could know how loud the mic picked up the keyboard sound. Because different headset has different mic characteristic (unidirectional, omnidirectional, etc.)
I m using the Steelseries Artics Pro wired from 2 month about and I m very happy. Sound quality, decent surrounding , very confortable and looking cool with a moderate RGB. Maybe I could have spent more for the wireless version, it would have been truly incomparable, but the cost is double, so I preferred to save.
I have found mic monitoring on the Steelseries "worst in class" and the mic has to be right up to your mouth for this to work (and will annoy your party chat endlessly because it will pick up your breathing) bizarely it's also to tied the master volume so if you turn down the volume it also turns down mic monitoring (boggles the mind). Also if you're looking to go with the Arctis 1 Xbox Wireless version you will be annoyed to find out that the game/chat balance is hardwired into the headset and CANNOT be changed at all.
Hey, can you use the cables of the arctis 5 on arctis 3 along with the dial, and let us know if that works when connected to a PC or makes any quality difference. Thanks. Great video.
I’m looking for a comparison between the black shark v2 and v2x, since you’ve used both do you have any major points that make one better than the other?
Thank you so much for this video! I'm on the market for either of these this week! It's been a real struggle to figure out which one to go for! I'm especially worried about the clamping force! With covid being around, there's no option for me to try these on in store! So, I'm really unsure! So far you have me sold though!! But could I please ask for some advice!? I've had the Logitech G430 for 4 years now! It finally kicked the bucket this weekend with one ear no longer working! What I loved the most about these were the fabric cups, the very light clamping, and the sound! I bought the Logitech G432 as a last minute sort of thing because I don't have any other headsets/earphones and I couldn't stand them! I wore them for half an hour and it completely triggered my vertigo! Between the excessive clamping, suction cup of the pleather cups and the very low and muffled bass, I was booked for a tea-cup spin all weekend long. I'm still trying to get down! It's crazy what it did to me! Anyway, my biggest question is, for anyone who has worn the G430 or knows of it, how is Arctis' clamping force in comparison? I really just want something light and soft as my ears can really not handle the pressure! Many thanks!!
@@capaprivate Hey! Apologies for my late reply! I ended up purchasing the Arctis 5! Honestly? Nothing will ever compare to the G430s! Those are seriously the best sound quality and comfiest! But, I will admit, the Arctis 5 comes in pretty close! Things that differ: with Acrtis 5, the ear cups isn't nearly as deep! I find my ears touch the sound booms, but after a few wears, it no longer bothers me. It suctions cups slightly due to the pleather, but no where nearly as badly as G432! It made me a little dizzy for a few days, but again, after a week, everything turned out sweet! The sound on the other hand is quite different. I found G430 to be super crisp while Arctis 5 sounded very base heavy and almost 'far away.' No matter how high I put up the volume, it always seemed so muffled. I played around with the settings, especially because the left ear didn't seem to be at the same volume as the right. Finally got it right in the end! But then I ran into another problem! Every few minutes, I'd get a white noise effect! After some googling and reddit searching, apparently this is a fault in Arctis 5 when using the USB connector. Most people email Arctis and get a new one sent, but I didn't bother. I just plugged it in via the singular jack, which turned out to be brilliant because the sound is SO MUCH more crisp! Less base for sure! It is comfy though! I will give it that! Very light and easy to wear! In the interim, a decent headset to have :)
@@Roxi4 Great review, Thank you! when you say you ''just plugged it in via the singular jack'', are you talking about plugging it into your PS/XBOX controller?
@@BlueSaturnn Thank you! They've been an absolute dream to have! So, so comfortable for hours on end! Unfortunately the wire insert by the ear cuff hasn't lasted as long as I hoped and is already playing up :( Thank goodness you can buy replacements on their website! As for the singular jack - I meant via PC! My tower has 2 ports, one for headphones and one for microphone. I used the singular jack extension to plug it into the headphone port. Sadly, it meant losing the microphone! But luckily I don't play too many games that require it! :D Since I need a replacement cable, I think I might just buy a dual cable while at it!
@@Roxi4 Going through these comments is upsetting. My G430s that I've had for years are so broken they barely stay on my head, but I just can't seem to find anything affordable that compares to them. If only they were more durable :(
THANK YOU Techne. I’ve been wanting to find a set that I can adjust & KEEP programmed for playing on PS4! Also... can I do that with the Arctis7?? Are they better than the 5’s “in that respect? TIA
Are seamless doubleshot pbt and rubber keycaps good for gaming ? I am planning on buying the ducky joker keycaps for my Anne pro 2 along with TAI HAO rubber keycaps but I want to make sure they are as good as the original keycaps on the Anne pro 2
Hello Techne first thx for uploading this video it was really great but I have a question (no connection but the vid but still want to ask). Do you think it's better to buy a Durgod K320 TKL or a Leopold FC750R Two Tone White ?
I was able to scoop the 1’s for $75 off Amazon last month and liked them so much that I snagged another for my kid while that price was slashed. I think the ski band is goofy, but do wish the 1’s had the mic that slides in and out.
could you tell me if the usb jack adapter works with the artics 3? also another thing, i found out that whenever i watch a video on youtube while i am on discord, every time i speak the music is played too as the voice input
great vid, that was my question if you could save your preset and then use it on the sereis x, so you set your headphone preference, and then play sereis x, cool, are they both 7.1 surround soundf?
When adjusting options/settings on the Arctis 5, you mentioned that these options are saved and built into the headset. For this to work on console, do I have to be using the USB connection or can I keep using the 3.5mm jack. Thanks!
Hey techne , is there any chance you could do a comparison between the turtlebeach elite 800x and a steelseries model ? i own the 800x and am trying to decide if it will be worth the upgrade
Techne I need to know... Which in your honest opinion is the best PS4 headset in your opinion? After looking at Arctis, Krakens, AlphaX, etc. any response would be very greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work. You've earned a sub.
so question, what top 3 headsets you recommend thats best for chat? budget is $100. wireless and mono ear cup are ok. I love the "flip-to-mute" feature, and preferably a headset that has a really good mic... I was recommended LucidSound LS1X, and Astros A50 my friend uses and mic quality is so great🤩 ($300), but I just want one for chat 🙄😬
Hi idol. Would love to hear about the difference between gaming headset and like Sony XM4. Should I buy like any leading headset bose or the XM4 over a gaming headset? Or should i buy separate? I love gaming and music and I'm torn. Hahahaha. Thanks stay safe and God bless 🙏
HEY YOU SHOULD DO THE RIG 500 PRO ANOTHER SORTA BUDGET HEAD SET 100 DOLLARS AND COMPARE IT TO THE HYPERXCLOUD ALPHAS,,, I WOULD LOVVVVEE TO SEE THAT ...keep up the good work ,....one of the best review channels out here
so I have a 3.5 to usb adapter from a pair of logitech headphones (g432). Do you think I could use that with the arctis 3? I imagine my pc would see it as logitech headphones but what would it matter if I was gonna plug em into the audio jack anyway.
I'm stuck between Arctis 5 and blackshark v2. 7.1 does not change much for arctis 5. There is information on the internet as balckshark v2 thx has a muddy sound. which one is better ?
Does the SteelSeries engine not work for console players? I play on Xbox & would like to utilize those customization features, but if they aren’t compatible with my console then I might as well not waste my money.
I’m stuck between the 3 or 5, I am just a Xbox user so I will not benefit from usb, rgb etc, is it worth me just buying the 3s or just paying a extra 30/40 on the 5s
