Solo piano arrangement of Steely Dan’s Dirty Work, a track from their 1972 debut Can’t Buy A Thrill, a vinyl copy of which is on the piano. The song was written by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker and is in the key of C# major (although quite a lot of cover versions I've noticed are in C major). As well as the melody (sung on the original by David Palmer) I've tried to incorporate the organ solo, the horn arrangement (featuring trumpeter Snooky Young) and Fagen's Wurlitzer comping into my arrangement, as well as playing an improvisation in the middle eight that's based on Jerome Richardson's tenor sax solo. The song was also featured in the film American Hustle and an episode of The Sopranos.
