This video shows my installation of a steering stabilizer in my class C motorhome with a Ford 450 chassis. I was going for the Roadmaster RSSC stabilizer so I brought a bracket kit for it and then found out I would not be able to get the unit until at least the end of Nov. so I decided that I would get a Safe T Plus unit instead but still use the Roadmaster kit. I am not being paid nor specifically recommend either system, they both do the same thing and from what I read both are well recommended. They are approximately the same in price, the Safe t plus is around $410 to $420 and the recommended bracket kit is around $ 75 to $80. The Roadmaster kit is about $100 but the RSSC was going for around $380 to $390 (do not know if there will be a price increase when they are finally available) so they both wash out at around $500. The Roadmaster kit is part # RBK24 and available in many places (etrailor, amazon and others.). While the Safe t plus is available on amazon and others. (part number 31-140 (silver).

Nice video. Looks like you've had a year to use your rv with the Safe-T-Plus - do you still like it? Did it make an improvement? Have you had to readjust it anymore?

Thanks, I have had it for over a year and am very happy with it. It definitely helps keep me stable on long highway driving because it gives a solid feel and you don't feel like you are shifting back and forth all the time. When turning and backing up you get a better response when recentering. I did a couple of readjustments at first to try to get it perfect and I have a very very slight pull to the right when going down a long road but that is actually better for me since I can have a positive feel for the road by holding the wheel at about 4 o-clock with my right hand very comfortably. The only thing to remember is to make sure you have a good front end alignment before you add the stabilizer and if you need alignment in the future be sure to loosen the stabilizer at the attachment point and then readjust the system.

@@airacephillips8398 Thanks for your feedback. I just upgraded my 2023 Thor Quantum E450 and am very pleased with the results. I went with Koni FSD shocks, Sumo Springs, Hellwig sway bars and the Roadmaster reflex steering stabilizer. The changes were quite dramatic. The Ford dealer installed all these parts in 3.5 hrs - much faster than I could have done it. They did have to readjust the steering stabilizer 1 time as it pulled to the right the first time I drove it off the Ford dealer lot. Now it tracks really straight down the road. I really wanted the Safe-T-Plus because I liked that the spring was inside the shock instead of outside - everybody says Safe-T-Plus, once you get it adjusted right is the way to go but I liked the Roadmaster product because it just replaces in the same spot the stock Ford steering damper, which is pretty much useless. Again - thanks for your response! 👍
