Stefanie Powers was always one of my favorite actresses. I loved her TV movies and guest appearances. She was wonderful on Hart to Hart. An equal partner in the TV marriage. Hope to see more of her on-screen soon. All the best to Stefanie in 2022!
Don't Weep For Me in Sorrow but in Joy. To have lived and loved anything or anyone or been loved by anything or someone then you were given life's highest reward, the Gift of Love, for to have loved and been loved is no greater achievement. Love is too abundant to count, immeasurably measurless in it's reach, too wise to comprehend and yet infinitely finite in each experience. I've lived to sip tea with her and eat with her. I've walked and ran with her and sometimes just sat with her. Love wept with me and I with She. We laughed and fought, sometimes parted but always returned. Love loved in every situation whether poor or rich. In our pain or pleasure, disappointments or surprises. Love was loyal even when forgotten, near of far I always felt her heart and She mine. Loved showed up at times as a stranger, other times a friend and every now and then ,she was the enemy that once was. A family member or pet even. I heard her voice in the woo of the morning dove or the purr of a kitten. She sang to me in the melody of a song or spoke to me in the refrain of a poem. She told me many tales of past present and future and I told Her mine. We loss together and won. Our shared suffering only strengthened the bond that tied us. We rose from our ashes like a Phoenix and our chains freed us from our pride and humbled us. Thank you Love for every gaze in your eyes, every kiss and embrace. I got to pass you by and breathe your aroma, hear your voice and taste the fruit of your love.I held you as a baby, maybe I was the baby held. We both gave each other life. If I say goodbye first to you or you to me, it won't matter for our love spans beyond the gap of death. Our Love In any amount is more than any tea cup of one lifetime could hold. My moment with you was an eternity and I am grateful. Don't weep for me in Sorrow but in Joy, for I have tasted Love. We passed in both the light and night of Life. - Steven F Gooden -
Oh what a treat first Joan Collins and Linda Evans from Dynasty 🥰 and now Stefanie Powers from my beloved Hart To Hart! I read their books! 👌🏻I grew up in the 80s, looooved these shows, so I appreciate it very much! Thank you! 👍🏻 Very interesting! She still looks fantastic! I’m a huge fan of her work and what she has done for endangered animals! 🙏🏻❤️
I LOVE this woman. I used to watch reruns of Hart to Hart in the early 90s and she was so beautiful and glamourous. I also watched the TV series/movie Deceptions as a kid and since then have to see anything she's been in
She once guest starred opposite Robert Wagner on his series It Takes a Thief. The chemistry between them was very visible. I'm sure that's why he wanted her for Hart to Hart. If you can find that episode on RU-vid watch it. You'll see what I mean.
Folks are *convinced* that they were a couple during “hart to hart.” It’s sad that those folks refuse to accept that RJ and Stef have both said, “it was luck that our then 20 years of friendship ‘translated’ into believable on-screen romantic chemistry.”
I have admired Stephanie Powers since I was a child. Her beauty is one thing, but more endearing than that is the way she carries herself as a woman. I love that she is eloquent, knowledgeable, witty and very strong minded at the same time. She is an inspiration.
Love this lady in anything she does. I would watch whatever she was in and just love the class she brings to the program. Beautiful & such charm … not something we see enough of today .
Always had a soft spot for Stefanie Powers. I first encountered her in MCCLINTOCK, a popular and entertaining western starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. Powers played their daughter. She was very pretty, and had that certain something that all stars need to sustain a long career. She seemed to be an ingenue for a very long time and she always worked. I admire her work in the protection of animals worldwide, and on the cusp of 80, she still is a vibrant and attractive woman. She was a hard worker who deserved her success and stardom during the five year run of her TV series with Robert Wagner, HART TO HART.
I love Hart to Hart, it’s one of my all time favourite shows. Unfortunately, here in Germany they never released the full series to buy on DVD. The digital release only has the german dubbing, but I would love to see the whole show in english.
Indeed. W. Holden had a very brief role in G. P. Cosmatos' war movie, quasi parody, "Escape to Athena" (1978). St. Powers played an american artist,(Dottie Lamar) in an "élite" P.O.W. camp in Rhodes,Greece, along with Ell. Gould, Rog. Moore & D. Niven. She acted, danced, sang and performed a modest strip-tease scene. Though the movie was a blatant commercial "flop".
I was raised on The Man from Uncle and Girl and the wild wild west, bonanza, gunsmoke, I can relate to every name she mentioned. I too wish romance and mystery would make a strong comeback.
Always liked Stephanie Powers but she was mistaken about 1 thing in this interview: Anne Francis in "Honey West" debuted in 1965 for the 65-66 TV series and she won a Golden Globe for Best Female TV Star.
You can tell the way she speaks that Stephanie Powers is such an educated ,intelligent , sophisticated woman ! Talk about being photo and telegenic ....a cameraperson's delight !
While this was posted ‘1 year ago,’ this is not a recent ‘interview.’ Her hair is now roughly chin-length, she has bangs, and to my disappointment (but respecting her choice) she’s still dyeing her hair. And her face is showing her age of almost 81, but she’s still beautiful!
i was too young for Hart to Hart but have since caught up on some of it's episodes. What a charming, romantic, action packed, tongue in cheek, positive and happy show it was! We could use content like that NOW
Such a lovely woman in all ways. I discovered Girl From UNCLE during the pandemic and I absolutely LOVE it. It was a completely misunderstood show and deserves a lot more credit than it ever got in its original run.
What a great great actress. Pure class act. Always was. Look at her, she looks amazing. She looks like she takes care of herself. Hart to Hart is running free on Roku - we have DELIGHTED in watching the entire series from the beginning - remembering how great L.A. used to look and be. We loved this type of sitcom and boy we have NOTHING like it today. She did great work - positive - fun work for us. And we are so grateful for her talent. Thank you Stefani we love you!
Interesting interview with a fantastic and eloquent actress. And how marvellous she still looks! Perhaps I may be looking at the past with rose-tinted glasses, but TV shows used to have both diversity and quality back in the 60s and 70s with great acting by those who really knew their craft. Whether it was the Twilight Zone, Streets of San Francisco, Hart to Hart, Bonanza etc, these were quality series. We get them now, but I think they’re far fewer in number. I hate ‘reality shows’ (junk food TV) with a passion. With the proliferation of digital channels, I feel it’s now quantity over quality and probably explains why many of these channels return to the back catalogue of shows filmed in the 60s and 70s.
@@BellaFirenze ^ yes. Because when Hart to Hart was getting ready to film, RJ really wanted to cast Sugar Ray in the role of Max, but he faced more resistance over that choice than he did when he wanted to cast Stef as Jennifer. But then, he also faced resistance when he decided he wanted Lionel Stander, who had been “blacklisted” during the McCarthy era.
Poor Max got whacked on the head, tied up and beaten every episode of heart to heart. One time they had crashed a helicopter in downtown LA and the next scene they're eating dinner at home...in the same clothes.
I'll be watching this more than once. Thank you so much. Stefanie is my favorite person to listen to. Her intelligence is as evident as her beauty. I wish I could see Love Letters. She's had such a fabulous life. Thank you for posting this. Definitely a Christmas present 🎁

Stephanie Powers was one of the great American actresses of the 1960s and '70s. I absolutely had a big crush on her beginning when I saw her in the TV broadcast of the 1960 movie "Palm Springs Weekend" in which she starred with Troy Donahue!
@@michaelgcuk unfortunately this video was not recent. I have seen her in a recent interview in London, and unfortunately she looks very different. She now looks her age.
Love Stephanie Powers! Hart to Hart was one of my favorite shows. Never missed an episode. She's such a great talent as well as being gorgeous and very classy. I was so fortunate to see Love Letters. RJ and Stephanie were incredible in that play!!
I believe the reason Hart to Hart was so successful was the fact that they were in love. If you watch the Movies you can see the difference. I know they had an affair. They were in live in Hart to Hart and that's what made the show so great.
Agree, Stefanie Powers is a great and versatile talent. She was well chosen for "Hart to Hart". I too had the good fortune of seeing her and Robert Wagner in "Love Letters" in Seattle, while touring in the U.S. What a rare treat! She also toured in "The King & I", and saw her perform at the Pantages Theatre in LA. She is a fine singer, and has toured in a cabaret-style show in LA, SF, and NYC about ten years ago. I saw her performance in S.F., and met her afterward. Very approachable, appreciative and lovely person. This is an excellent interview. Look forward to reading the new book that she's working on. Recommend her memoir that came out in 2010. Excellent!
@@lorimiller4301 you have said you greatly admire stef, yet you trash her every chance you get. They did not have an affair, they have both said so, or can’t you accept that a man 24 years older than she was - William Holden - was her SOULMATE. You are a sad and pathetic person. I hope you get psychiatric help, you need it.
You claim to greatly admire Stef, but you trash her every chance you get. They did NOT have an affair. If you admired her as much as you claim to, you’d accept that what was seen on ‘Hart to Hart’ was two great FRIENDS.@@lorimiller4301
Stefania Zofya Federkiewicz will be 80 years old next November. In November 2008, Powers, who was a smoker for 20 years, was diagnosed with alveolar carcinoma, a form of lung cancer. A beautiful lady at any age.
I have got a movie DVD of Stephanie Powers with Telly Savalas Elliott Gould David Niven (Roger Moore) and (Anthony Valentine) are both German Officers in Escape To Athena I am dedicating this movie DVD to my old school friends who are both sisters as I hope to see them both again very soon to Chris and Hester from Billyxxxxx
Great to see Stephanie Powers. Hart to Hart was fantasy but that was a Chemistry. I don't think that could be duplicated in a new version. great interview.
She did a skype(?), facetime(?) interview with someone, and they asked her about cable TV. She said, “it’s nothing like what we imagined, it’s mostly garbage now (except, she used a nicer word than that).”
Love Stefanie Powers in anything she does but my favorites are Hart to Hart, Mistral's Daughter, Deceptions and Five Desperate Women. Hope to see more of her in the future.
It's a pleasant surprise to see and hear the wonderful Stefanie Powers again. Once I got a picture of her and I was delighted with her beauty. She still looks beautiful ! Wishing you a Happy New Year. Love from Izabella
Ms Powers always presents herself so well! The background and stories are very interesting. She also gave a superb interview on A Word for Westerns, which you can watch on youtube. Thanks for sharing this interview, so interesting.
isn't just what you do but what you don't do. Not just what you did but how you did it. Not just what you said but how you said it. Love is so simple yet the simple make it so hard. Love Is full of knowledge yet even the smart don't get it. Love doesn't cost a fortune yet fortunes are spent trying to gain it. Love does demand of you yet you are not willing to sacrifice for it. Those who only seek what love can give and do for them, do nothing for love and others and in such selfish pursuit, in turn rob themselves of love's best gift. Make this year the year you seek to sow love and not just reap it. Be love and not just think it. Do love and not just say it. Talk love and just don't fake it. Seek love and just don't chase it. Embrace it but don't enslave it, share it but don't dare boast in it. Enjoy it but don't abuse it. Free it and watch it come back. Invest in it and watch it pay back. Wash your life in it, light your darkness with it, eat your food with it conduct your business with it and above all else Serve God in it. For whatever love is and is not, it's all of, for and From Him. He is LOVE! " By Steven Gooden
Stephanie, you remain beautiful! I’ve recently been watching episodes of “Hart to Hart”, and I was there for the beginning of your show on television, as well! It’s been so uplifting to experience you and Robert , and Mr. Stander and Freeway, again! I’m now on the verge of turning 73, and really appreciate the experience more. It brings a lift in spirit to me, and I’m so happy to see this interview! Thank you and may God richly Bless you even more! 🙏💜🙏💜🙏💜🦋🌸🦋🌸🦋🌸
I hate so much opening/ending titles full of blinding flash and pounding music and glitz. I hate it! The content of the talking heads is so soothing and pleasant, I wish these titles were more in the same family.
Hart to Hart was one of my favorite detective shows while I was growing up. I was at the beginning of my teen years when it initially came on. The show made me want to grow up to become a millionaire, and marry a woman like Stephanie Powers. I am still hoping that it comes true someday. 😊
Every time I see Stefanie at an event, I love her more. Grace, style, poise, agekess. Very gracious w/ her time at the recent Hollywood Show in Burbank...❤
