This is actually so sweet. The fact she sang this song in Yoruba and gave it an African touch. Idk why but I just find it heart warming that she took her way to learn about her boy’s culture and language it’s just so sweet. Burna really did find a good one ☝🏽🥰
Stefflon Don's appreciation for culture is what really made me fall in love with her. A lot of people can be very ignorant to other peoples culture, but I've notice she always has made an effort to immerse herself. Some artist will pick up a sound and dash it once they are done. Stefflon Don's appreciation seems more authentic to me. I am Surinamese and she is the first global non-Surinamese artist to appreciate my culture and language. This song displays that and that is what sets her apart from the rest!
I dont think people understand.. this girl is singing YORUBA, JAMAICAN PATOIS , AMERICAN SLANG all in one song.. and none of them sound forced!! THATS SKILL!!!
@Temi Adeniyi what is her sound , is she uk grim, dancehall ,pop, or afro beats not sure what your definition of international queen is love , her songs are catchy and fun when clubbing or for small girls , i feel like she will trend with whatever is going on which means she has no direction or substance, nothing wrong with it she getting her bag she just wont win artist, icon, of the century its easy to forget about her
@@ntandowetu3733 It’s called being versatile. A lot of artists branch out to other genres of music and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. That’s how you expand your fanbase. Did you say the same thing about Beyonce now she’s on the afro wave? Did you say the same thing about Nicki doing pop music? Probably not. If you dont like the song you literally dont have to listen to it. She’s original and talented. Plus the song sounds great. She’s literally the lead of female rap in the UK, she can make whatever music she wants to. Thanks.
"Kilodé baby!?" 🤩 Love it!! This is half Nigerian & Jamaican - LIKE ME!! 🇳🇬🇯🇲 But it needs an extended remix featuring Burna Boy... He should have at least been in the car... 🖤 This song & Rotimi 'In My Bed' are on repeat this season. 🤎
@King George she still lacks basic choreography and basic knowledge in live performance. So the void is still there. This video is just letting us know she has eaten pounded yam and she loves it.
King in not a big fan of hers , besides hurtin me I don’t think I actually like any of her other songs . But this song is a hit , you can tell burna influenced it . Nothing else she has even done sounds like this
Mimi Rest I seen her live at afronation last year and it was drrreyyy , your so right . I don’t think I’d pay to see her live but I’ll give my coins for this song tho
Burna needs to just marry her and done.. this girl has embraced his culture. You can tell she really loves him. This is not just celebrity love or business.. you can see its real. Big up to Burna and Steff. Imagine if they have a kid. Mum famous, dad famous... and your uncle famous. That kid gone be famous too lol
@@choolwesyacika279 But she's not singing it.....it's been Autotuned to within an inch of its life. That vocal effect has been used to death. It's so played out.
@jiggy One She's not ur wife she's burna boys and please tell me where she smoke Yourbo bc she clearly has a Jamaican accent so umm I think ur mistaken and she using a NIGERIAN afrobeat????
Nigerian TV and radio and social media did not do enough justice to this song....It deserves more spotlight especially from the Nigerian community....Steff is so dope🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️
Now this is someone that truly loves Nigeria, she spoke a Nigerian language and also rep our flag color not some other culture vultures that claim they love Nigeria
How can a jamaican or any diasporabs be culture vulture....if Nigerians have children in the UK are they culture vultures, emulating where their nativity comes.....
I don’t understand why people hate on her for no reason. She’s so talented and her level of fame is next level for a female British rapper. Stef, I salute you.
Super the way, she switches her accent around British Jamaica, and America accent super talent.the nigeria in her is showing you can't run away from yourself.
I could fight you to prove I love her more and want that second album even more,#don 😂👍🏾🇳🇬 she is powerfully talented I love steff so much! Happy to see someone else expressing the need for a new album too! 😂
People will say she had to do it his way to fit him. I enjoyed him not being in it. Let her take the shine. Everybody knows Burna is behind the transition anyway
Yeah right ... Back then it was lack of knowledge and the media only show you poor areas and kids with flies. But truly we all know Africa is Beautiful continent🙌🏾🙌🏾💯
We had a issue because it was said in a negative and derogatory way....(that kind of if u leave the resort you'll be beheaded mentality by the media ).....we've always said africa is the root of our heritage ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🖤
Big up Stefflon don; I love the fact that you were not just singing but enjoying yourself in the song; for me this song is a hit. I was hooked after hearing the first verse of the song! More grace to Mate.
This woman is just to beautiful to versatile and way to talented to not get the credit she deserves. She can dance she does dance all she does hip-hop and she does R&B she’s a monster. I love her
This is what I called a Surprise. A song by a group of lovely artists, a twist of Jamaican in their lyrics, fabulous music, masterly orchestrated, beautifully acted and my gosh, voices like never heard before. These girls worked very hard to make this recording a showpiece. Congrats. All the success in this world. you better than good Great!!! Thanks for uploading.
I can see a new wave coming out of this....back to the roots with a twist.....and all while keeping it classicy.. thank u stefflon don and burna for taking path less traveled and keeping it a buck!.....frm a jamaican wanting unity for my brothers and sisters.....its the only way out....
Twerking is what white people do! Black people DANCE to the beat and the rhythm, which in turn allows their waist and voluptuous hips to gyrate. The west has demonised that style of dance kmt! A dance which can be performed at weddings, coming of age parties, even funerals, is tradition, not a trend 🙄
