Should have showed the rest lol You were doing so well! It's amazing how many videos stop there. Like now you just plug in a mic and hit record and you're good. Nobody shows how to assign one of those inputs to a specific track and arm it to record on, or how to set the output of a specific track to one of the outputs. If I didn't already know how to do that, I would be sitting here with a fully functioning interface and DAW and still be fumbling around wondering how to get this mic onto track one! Inputs and outputs are part of every track that's recorded. Everyone stops after they explain the interface part. That's not enough info. Good job explaining what you did though. Better than most explain that part.

Is it possible to make so that Cubase loads your saved preset automatically every time? Or do I have to go into audio connections and manually load my own preset every time I open a new project?

On Audio Conncetions, whats the difference between Mono in or Stereo In? And on the track workflow should I add mono or stereo, for vocal or guitar. Because most of people would say mono, but I saw your are stereo channels.

I'm trying to record my vocals over a instrumental track. I have 2 tracks, one from a instrumental i imported and one for vocals. When i hit record on my vocal track, the instrumental is automatically getting recorded under my vocal track, as well as my vocal. Why is this happening? Any help would be awesome! Thanks

Sir I'm Satyaban from India. My problem is every time I open a new file, output shows "Not Connected" and I have to assign output connections and to link to my sound card Focusrite 4i4. Is there any solution to assign my input and output to my sound card permanently and get out of this annoying repeated exercise. Using Cubase 12 pro. Kindly help. Regards

Cubase has entirely to much going on for no apparent reason. The entire DAW needs to be revamped
