Hello Dom, It would be great if you could speak with your colleagues and ask them to respond to support tickets. The DSP reverb does not seem to record into my DAW. But all other DSP effects seem to work. Why is this? Seems like a bug to me.
Some details are covered here... but Pre-amp dynamic range was measured at 102.9dB (A weighted). The converters are capable of 32bit integer, so better than most. EIN was measured at -123.3 dBu (A weighted). Steinberg invented and developed ASIO so no issues there. Latency has more to do with sample rates, buffer sizes and PC power (processor speed), so this device is similar to most other audio interfaces.
It's now 2020 and Cubasis 3 for Android is available. Is that also included in the purchase of my new UR44C? ... I guess I'll find out when it arrives.
The main advantage is that the EQ is running off the processing power inside of the unit itself, not your CPU. Another advantage is in case you want to livestream for example, most likely for livestreaming application does not support VSTs. Discord could be another example, if you'd like to clean up your audio before Discord picks it up, you can use the compressor/eq effects using the built in DSP.
Can 44URC record in different 4 track s in Adobe audition??? Does Curbus required for this action??? Plz please post a detailed 44urc configuration tutorial for win10 ?? Unable to do lisencing and activation.
how does it works usb 3,0 2.0 was bad realy bad bougt it and was veryvey laggy :so know you are all happy with that ;then i can give a try ;hoh you think gysß plz giv e me your expierence .thx
I tried for updating the firmware of urc2 using the firmware update tool. But it not working now , only blinking the peak LEDs . Could you please tell me what to do.
Does the headphone output still suck on these Steinbergs? I used to own the UR22 and it could barely drive a pair of 32 Ohm headphones to sufficiently loud levels.
@@aloahe4807 I'm doing the voiceover and I'm also looking for an audio interface that has a powerful headphone amp so I can hear myself while I'm recording, from what I see there is no such thing in these prices an audio interface that has a loud headphone amp, I will just buy an audio interface and in addition another headphone amp (shouldn't cost more than 30 bucks)
hello i really like this products but i have questions if you slove and give me reply..i baught ur22c how can i connect to I pad and My laptop same time because i need to use dspfxmix from i pad and need to put in put to my laptop through obs studio.how can i set it up please if you give me any reply. thank you in advance, kalpesh patel.from toronto.
Dear Sir/mam I have old laptop Window 7 , 32 Bit , 4GB Ram , This Audio Interface Steinberg ur 22 C will work on my laptop , and it will give me professional Quality ?
Will these interfaces work with Windows 7 SP1 32 bit? I’m still running Cubase SX3. Will Cubase AI run on my system? I heard it wouldn’t. My computer only has 2 gigs of RAM, but I don’t use any VST or plugins, just use the software as a recorder really.
Will this also work, if you want to use it on Skype or zoom? Like you are a piano teacher, and want to talk with you students by iPhone (videoskype) and use a better mic than the iPhone solution. So you use Steinberg UR-C and play on the grand piano, record it on mics, and send it over Skype to the students iPhone?
I have ur242 and have been looking to upgrade. I was looking some others but after seeing this review, I think I'm sticking with steinberg. The new mixfx dsp looks good as well.
Wait.......are they saying the units use actual "32 bit CONVERTERS" ??? I didn't think there was such a thing ???? And of coarse I realize we can all use 32 bit or 32 bit- float file sizes in our DAWs and what not, but we still only have 24 bit analog to digital converters. I thought we were years past this kind of technological ambiguity ?
I have the UR44C I getting trouble to get it work with my iPhone 12 Can you help me to solve it? I seeing it is easy on the UR22C but the one that I have is different in the back.
I am thinking about buying a UR44C, after briefly researching a Solid State Logic SS2+ and Focusrite Scarlett 8i6. I am not sure if you have reviewed them yet and am wondering if you have any knowledge of how they compare?
@@reysaw I did some further research of reviews and decided to get a MOTU M4 instead. I found Julian Krause reviews to be very helpful on making my decision.
Both. I dont think there is a way to transmit 3.0 speed through a USB-Type B connector. Still reading on the product manual to check on these answers: download.steinberg.net/downloads_hardware/UR-C/Manuals/UR22C_Startup_Guide_English.pdf
I want to buy UR44C. I have some doubts about usb-c connector. Is it going to work on my laptop ASUS n61j with Windows SP1 or should I go with USB 2, that is UR44C?
A music store is advertising this as having "6 to 8 line inputs" How do you access getting 8 line level signal inputs to your non-Cubase DAW? (using Reaper, Studio One and Sonar)
So I can track vocals, with EQ compression and verb with no latency? Vocals are a real pain in the butt, unless I use extra hardware. Going through the box the latency is impossible to work with on vocals.
Hi, the video helped me a lot. I have one confusion, the interface has six analog outputs. But I can Make only 2 pairs of stereo busses in cubase. I cannot turn off the reverb effect from the rest output pair. Can I use 3 different pair with this interface ? Please guide.
Best interface i guess. But i have some doubts to be clarified 1. Is there a mono option in ur44c as in ur22c? 2. 6 inputs in Cubasis iPad, but how many outputs (mono) does it show in Cubasis? 3. Can i send daw/mainstage mono out through a single L or R channel? 4. Does direct monitoring run 4 inputs to 4 outputs on ur44c as compared to other brand interfaces?
Hi, great I can see that the integration between Cubase and UR-C interfaces is really good to monitor or record. But how is the integration with Cubasis 3 on iOS device ? I would like to use Cubasis 3 and from the UI be able to access the DSP of the UR44C directly to monitor and/or record. Prefer not to switch between App and use only Cubasis 3 otherwise if there is no advantage of using Cubasis with a Steinberg Interface then I think that I would stick to other iOS daw and or interfaces. Cheers, Paul
Hi. Thx for this great review. I have a question about the headphones output level of the ur22c. I red that it is quite low. i have a Beyerdynamic DT 770 80 ohms and i don't know if this interface is well suited for this impedance level. I want to record tenor saxophone with a playback in the headphones from Cubase so i need a decent output level to hear the playback while i play the sax, which is a pretty loud instrument. Or should i upgrade to a dc powered interface such as the ur-rt2. Thanks for your answer. Franck.

Daniel Erlich ok thanks. I had the same answer (external amp) from other comments. I finally purchased the URRT2 which has a much power headphone amp than the ur22c (and a great sound), and the level is good with my DT770. But nevertheless i think that your advise of an external amp is the best option. Bye. Franck.
Interesting onboard DSP capabilities and mobile support. Something tells me that Absolute Music would have been better at describing the specs and technical aspects of the interface than the Cubase rep.
