I hope Stellan Skarsgård knows how amazing this looks on film. He was by far my favorite part of the film and one of the best villain portrayals I have ever seen. Simply outstanding acting.
I'm watching it right now for the first time, and I paused it as he appeared the first time just to see if there was any behind the scenes info. You're right, it does look amazing, though so does pretty much everything in Dune, at least up to where I'm at.
Sometimes what lasts shorter is the best part of any thing. For example, most songs that are very well known only last 3 minutes or 2 minutes and 30 seconds (Song 2, Happy Together, Let Her Dance, I Get Around). In films for example: Darth Vader in Rogue One Xenomorph in Alien: The Eight Passenger T800 without the skin in The Terminator And the bullet-time scenes in The Matrix Few clips, but they last forever in our memories
I feel his limited presence actually added to character. Every scene he was in had tremendous weight (lol) and the scenes he is in make it clear that his shadow looms throughout the rest of the film, as Stellan himself has said. That being said I can agree that more of this character would have been excellent and for that reason i am deathly excited for part 2.
