3:50 " When making this game, most people thought I was out of my mind, because in South Korea, mobile games dominate the market." Fellow gentlemen, lets help prove everyone wrong here -- the man is not crazy, and support this game to the fullest! 👊
And that applies to literally everyone too. You are never ever crazy if you believe in yourself enough to follow your own dreams. Prove the doubters wrong.
already bought the deluxe edition, and I know i'll be super bad in this game because melee centric games like that realy challenge my motor skills. But back when it was "project eve" , I've always been facinated by what i saw, long before the somewhat faux hype going on about it for the wrong reasons.
The only thing I wished for S.korea is to make up your genre. It's okay to get inspired by other games but to simply just copied the homework is kinda not putting your own stamp in the industry. Lies of P is an amazing game and I loved it but it try so hard to be souls to the point that it's the closest thing to a souls game.
@@achmadramdhan3629 no they aren't. one person wrote a valid criticism of one aspect of the game, and all of the other coverage has been positive or neutral. ign rarely trashes anything, even when it deserves it. you need to recalibrate your opinion sensors
@@skizm5804 it's written in one of the IGN's article (before edited) referring to Eve that she is "a doll sexualized by someone who has never seen a woman". That is NOT a valid criticism.
Releasing a playable demo was a great move. After trying it out, I'm definitely buying Stellar Blade now-a decision I wouldn't have made otherwise. Great job, Sony!
Congratulations to everyone at Shift Up for making this a reality. I hope it gives them the means and the confidence to make more ambitious games going forward.
I love that they did behind the scenes video on the making of this game and I hope they do more of this as we get closer to release or maybe a documentary style video of like an hour-long length I would not mind that at all
@@rodimus580 Not everyone... I tried warning the fanboys on here, but they laughed, because they don't understand the culture war, and can't see past their own fanboy biases.
@_You_Are_Not_Him_ not always the case. NieR series is the best example. If the series stopped at NieR gestlat/replicant on ps3 then we never would've gotten NieR:Automata. Automata is a significantly better game than it's prequels since all beloved aspects of those prequels were improved upon, and disliked aspects were changed, tweaked, or intentionally left in to poke fun at players because yoko taro is a troll. Without NieR:Automata's incredible success we would never have gotten the remaster/remake/upgrade for NieR replicant. It was only because of this 2nd chance at success that replicant actually became somewhat successful itself, and available to larger audiences. Sometimes sequels are a greater step in the right direction than brand new IP. Yoko taro is also one of the only game directors who made a new IP and a sequel to his existing IP at the same time. NieR gestalt/replicant is a sequel to drakengard, and it's the start of the NieR series. Sometimes you can do both.
Everything i have heard or seen coming from these devs have made me have faith in the gaming industry again! THANK YOU SHIFT UP, YOU ARE SAVING THE GAMING INDUSTRY!!! Also Nikke is the best mobile game and super excited for Stellar Blade! You can really see how much love they put into their games, more game studios should not be afraid to make what they want like Shift up!
Just 100% and finished Nier Automata again for preparation for this game and have played Sekiro like 4 times like 100 hours of it I cant wait never played Devil May Cry tho should play that sometime
I don't own a PS5, nor do I plan to ever buy one. I will never be able to play this version of the game. I don't like these kind of third-person action games. I am 38 years old now and I rarely play any video games. I haven't bought any game since many years now. Just now, I preordered Stellar Blade. I vote with my wallet for Anti-woke gaming!
A well made game for $70 or a $130 game filled with psychological dark patterns to push you into buying micro transactions? You decide the path we go down in the future, gamers. Vote with your wallet
Not gonna lie this gives me Raiden from metal gear rising vibes but as a female instead, with a touch of Devil May Cry, but with an open world setting like other RPG games cool.
Jang Hee-Cheol's creature designs and the studio animator's work really showcase this game's unique creativity. It's what I had hoped to see in a next gen Bayonetta sequel.
Haven't seen a vidoc like this since the days of Halo 2! All this hype around a single player, offline game in today's live service- dominated market. This game is truly special.
So they consulted with the guy that created the creature from The Host and he's related to WETA?, man I wish to know more about the conceptualization of the Naytivas, I bet that creating the creatures on clay was not a merely artistic choice, the process ir more related to cinema making. As a fan of Sci-fi, horror and creatures features I find this specific topic fascinating.
I already pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition just because I want to support this amazing game and the amazing developers behind it. Now it's the time to vote with our wallets and send a clear message that we want more games like this one!
You should not pre-order ANYTHING, EVER. Case in point, Capcom is trying to mess with the Western release of this game to change gameplay and character models to make it "more inclusive". End your pre-order now, and wait until the game releases, you shouldn't spend your money before you know what you are actually getting.
@@brando3342You can keep crying but just cause you got baited by a couple of bad games doesn't mean we should all stop pre ordering. Been doing it since 2010 and haven't pre ordered a bad game just say you can't tell a bad game before it releases
Huge fan of games getting these behind the scenes documentaries, there’s nothing better than hearing from developers themselves. Sony’s been on a role with these but I’d love to see them across the industry too.
I think the meaning is overt political correctness, and a lot of people are tired of it... There's a difference between being socially aware of issues, and being a divisive race baiter.
@@degolocsta18DegoLocc you think but ya ain't thinking that hard. Whatever these weirdos got you thinking what woke means isn't what it means, this word was used as slang by black people now it's just another word used by catz who have the political awareness of a drunk.
Easiest pre-order 👍 The demo was fire! characters, graphics, gameplay, music and difficulty. It had everything done right and i love. Well done shift up.
Can tomorrow be the 26 of April please !!! 🙏 I think about Stellar Blade everyday since I have played the demo twice !! 😂👍 I haven’t been so hyped for a game since The Witcher 3, Bloodborne and Sekiro launched !!!
I‘m so glad that I stumbled upon this…directly preordered the Deluxe Edition on February 7th + preordered a physical copy as well! Such a game and devotion HAS to be strongly supported! Thanks Sony, thanks Shift up! 🍀💪🏻
I really hope you guys Playstation/Shift Up release some sort of official Stellar Blade soundtrack. So far I'm digging the few tunes from the Demo and sure am looking forward for the rest of the music score which I have no doubt it'll be epic. For sure a Soundtrack of the Year contender/nominee.
Initially they got my interest with the design of the main character, but the game itself looks better and better the more they show. I’m getting strong NieR vibes from this. Definitely consider buying.
I absolutely love you guys over at Shift Up. I can not wait to complete this title. And to Sony Playstation. Thank you for endorsing this studio. You know this is where the money is. Now boss up and make some big moves.
Me too! Plus, I plan on getting Marvel's Spider-man 2 just for collectional purposes and to support Insomniac Games (because they make amazing Spider-man games)
I would say GOTY but we already know Jeff will be to scared to have Stellar Blade on the show. We need this game to succeed to prove a point to western games company that this is what we want in are video games 🎮
Can see the confidence that the studio Shift Up and Sony Production studios have in this game, it’s brand new IP, in industry which is afraid to be bold. Wish both well success.
Congratulations to Sony for not bowing down to morally/emotionally unstable people and really thinking about their real audience! people who really like video games! I'm going to buy everything from Stellar Blade and I'm going to advertise it to all my friends! I hope it's a huge sales success and that real players enjoy it a lot!
Kim Hyung-Tae, thank you for Blade and Soul (specifically being the Art Director of that game), this game feels like a successor from that game (now as CEO of Shift Up). Man, I just hope we have a freakin' pc platform lol. I'm sad.
Shuhei was the one that made this deal possible BTW, he personally went to shift up to look at the game after he saw the concept video and probably also because he knew the CEO already from working with him in the past.
To reiterate what has already been said, it was very smart for Sony to ally themselves with Shift Up and I hope they are BOTH rewarded for their efforts. I have been around my video game hobby for nearly four decades now and when I came across this property under the title Project Eve, I KNEW that it was going to be a game to follow. Could not be happier for all the hype and attention that Stellar Blade has brought to Shift Up and will definitely be watching for any other IPs in the future!
