Stellardrone is a pseudonym of amateur composer (Edgaras, b.1987, Lithuania, Vilnius) who started creating music in 2007. Using only computer software (Reason, Ableton, Audacity) and virtual synthesizers. He is mostly interested in ambient/electronic/space music. Releasing all albums for free and promotes free sharing of digital copies.

You who are intuitively touched by music like this may have a gift, a gift to yet be discovered. If you feel yourself falling into into an ambient piece and imagining wondrous things, important things lie ahead for you in life. If you feel you are somehow different from your peers in having a deeper sense of appreciation for the more profound things in life, you have a responsibility to yourself to pursue what that means. I'm 23 now, I've loved this kind of music for as long as I can remember, even as a small child I could identifiy with these kind of sounds, enjoying them and being overwhelmed most of the time, not knowing what their magical secret is and why they have these marvelous effects on me. I enjoy them now more than ever.

That is because even at your young age you are what is called an old soul. An old soul has a larger perspective of life, and has less interest in playing the material game. They tend to be more detached, and see themselves and others within a much larger more boarder context to the grand scheme of life. Having dozens of lifetimes in varieties of cultures and classes thoroughly blended into their essences, it is much more difficult for Old Souls to get involed in the smaller issues of life.

I'm 17 y/o and whenever I let any of the young people I hang out with listen to this absolutely blissful sound-design they look at me like I'm some kind of freak, then they put their Skrillex on and I've been really wondering lately who the freaks actually are, if they can't feel the vibe coming out of the speakers or earphones when this music is on but can listen to Skrillex' agressive music all day.. Hmm...

well, I'm 17 and I listen to (what "normal" people would call) worst music, alot of drone and ambient, but if you handle it the rigt way, they won't bully you that much, they'll just look at it with respect for the strange music they realise they don't yet understand.

I guess there are.... most people in my area seem addicted to Grime, rap and hip hop. Neither which I like, I agree that some rap is good, I have come across rap that has meaningful lyrics and a meaning. Still it pales compared to music like this...

I know my comment will not be near as intelligent as some of the others on here, but i have really connected with this stuff, i have just gone through a stormy breakup and my heart is shattered, but this stuff is healing my soul, really helping me a lot to find my inner peace. On a more positive note it reminds me of the sounds in Mass Effect 1 and 2, which is by far the most memorizing amazing games i have ever played..

I agree with what AsiaTakeover said but I want to add something. There are many different reasons people listen to music. Most people listen to it because other people do. This isn't bad the way I see it. Wanting to fit in is just fine. Other people listen to music for their own personal enjoyment and relaxation. Those are two different ways to appreciate music. Not all people are familiar with both those ways. Your friends probably can't understand the reason you listen to music.

Loud and aggressive minds don't really grasp the profundity of ambient tones...natural limitation of perception in negative states. It takes a calm mind to really let music like this saturate your consciousness and take you places. We're all freaks though, best to live and let live and chuckle at the absurdity of some people, while knowing internally how valuable peace of mind is that music like this bolsters.

Couldn't agree more, friend. Stay true to yourself and don't follow the crowd. Keep doing that and you'll confuse most of the new people you'll meet. They'll think you're strange/weird/nerdy/rebellious and won't understand why you don't like the same junk everyone else does. People are flabbergasted when they meet someone who refuses to conform for the sake of fitting in. They are the freaks ;)

This shit is stellar for sure! :) Tell your friends to shut the fuck up and close their eyes. They probably just don't know how they are "supposed" to react to it. I'm not a fan of the Skrillex styled dubstep. But maybe it will get people into checking out more electronic music, and digging deeper into the genre they think they are listening to, then going further and further. But a bigger percentage will move on to the next thing when it comes along.

For a 17 year old you are ahead of your time....here are some songs for you to look up....Banco De Gaia (Saturn Return)...Vidna Obmana (This splendid place)...Armin Van Burren (Sail)...Tangerine Dream (Love on a real train)...Chicane (Offshore). Am I going too far out on some limb when I remark that this is today's contribution to classical music... that in some conservatory of the future, when communication technology and musical instrumentation are in a mode completely beyond our ken...; that this will be considered "period instrumentation", expressive of cultural highlights, even if our civilization disappears?

Does anyone know where the dish on the album art is? For a while I thought it might be the 32m dish at Elfordstown in Ireland, the dish and support structure look very similar, but the building at the base is different, so it's not it.
