Age-related macular degeneration or AMD is an eye condition that affects millions of people around the world. In the UK, it is the biggest cause of sight loss. 👀
At King's College London and Moorfields Eye Hospital, scientists are developing a new treatment that could help people to see again by implanting stem cell patches into their retinas. A trial has already been successfully tested on two patients, both of whom went from not being able to read at all even with glasses, to reading 60-80 words per minute with normal reading glasses. 🤓

Eye exercises and Eye Nutrients have kept my Dry AMD at bay for 4.5 yrs now. The exercises has to be done daily religiously is a must. Eye exercises are so easy to do and can be done anywhere stationary even just standing in line in the grocery store! My Eye doctor encourages my efforts and is a bit in awe of the success I've had at keeping my eyesight. Alot of exercises are required. I encourage Eye Medicine to keep after a cure for AMD. They are giving shots in the eye to delay the AMDs progress but my Eye Doc don't recommend it and to keep doing what I'm doing. 👍

I'm 51.5 years old male live in Surrey uk. I've had a CRVO in my left eye i cannot see atm. I've had treatments in a hospital in Windsor but they're saying there's nothing available for me to see again. I asked a specialist at Windsor about Stem Cell treatment and he says this is my only chance however it's not available yet for my condition. I cannot tell you how appreciative I'd be for your help. Hi thankyou for doing these kind of research, this is really very motivating. However I wanted to know will this help people whose retina got damaged due to detachment?

@@Engineer_With_A_Life Retinal detachment can be treated very effectively with current surgical techniques. A robotic system will probably not increase the success rates, but only experimentation will tell.

@@rvimlab surgical techniques are not working in my brother's case, that is why I am looking for artificial vision. I am hoping NeuralLink can help toh restore functional vision.
