Okay, that massive ship is a ferry!? Good grief!!! That makes the old-new paddlewheel ferry from Norfolk to Portsmouth, Virginia look like a tiny dot in the water in comparison. Even the Cape Hatteras, NC to Ocracoke Island ferry would look puny compared to it. Of course, the history, charm, shopping, fun things to do, and see in Virginia makes me happy to live here. Oh and also, y'all are invited to come, and experience it anytime ya like.
This is a new road layout. I made the mistake at 2:14 and followed the HGV as my sat. nav. didn't correspond to any road... although you then seemed to revert to the old route as at 5:09 you came in over the (being rebuilt) railway line to Strand/Beach, whereas you should have come in from the left at 5:26. [ The roundabout you went round at 2:14 is new and there is a new road (N223) to the ferry port off that roundabout exit at 2:09 ] 8:33 That's the platform/ramp where HSS Stena Discovery birthed. I miss that boat.
