Yeah but you shouldn't pay 30 bucks for comms and animations. Not to mention the comms aren't exactly realistic either missing several stations and having wrong brevity for anything but CQ.
I bought the supercarrier because I was super into naval ops and realistic operation. The supercarrier does help push away the players who only bought a study simulator to blow stuff up. People will generally do less stupid stuff on the supercarrier which I find makes it more immersive.
I agree with this. I prefer SC as well because if you invest in the SC Pack, chances are you will know how to do carrier ops correctly and run patterns correctly. Whenever I am flying at a Stennis in a public server, people are flying approaches badly or generally being unsafe. If people learned on their own prior to getting on the Stennis or performed to a general natops standard, this idea is ok. But in most situations, the Stennis is basically the "newbie" to carrier ops area and the SC's are mostly for Veterans. And I prefer to not get run into while taxing to launch because landing traffic can't hit the center line of the LA.
It's a good idea. What more is needed is a mod or an option to remove the reflection effects from the ground of the flight deck and the volumetric lights from the lighting of the tower to have better performance when it rains and by night. Because with the supercarrier towards the control tower, at night with the rain, the fps drop significantly.
I bought Supercarrier since Im a huge fan of naval ops but I did notice that on MP the servers use the Stennis and it functions the same as the Supercarrier carriers
super carrier can be fleshed out so much. A ton of missing coms and procedures i hope they address this when they most likely break the game with deck handlers
A very very small team are working on the SuperCarrier.., they are planned updates for it such as war room and barricade, elevators , stennis is great tho and should be the main one everyone uses
I've been doing this on my servers ever since the change was made - However .... There is a slight difference or it could be an unintentional "Bug", The Red, Yellow, Green Laser/ Light on the back of the carrier Deck to help align correctly isn't there on either the Supercarriers or the Stennis now... Soooo makes it more difficult to land now... But yes indeed - I use the Stennis on all our missions now...
I confirmed that I can't trap on the Stennis anymore if I disable SC. That has to be a bug. It breaks a lot of the training missions that use the Stennis. For example, the Tomcat landing training missions use the Stennis.
You should fight for centerline and it looks like you are spotting the deck. It's not enought to get a wire, you gotta be on centerline and on the right glidepath.
You're not wrong; those approaches could have been better. This isn't meant to be a carrier landing tutorial, though. The clips are just to show that you can land on the Stennis without Super Carrier DLC and that you can't land on some other carriers without it.
I noticed that too. I'm not sure why it happens. In all of the missions I have locally, I turned on invincibility for the Forrestal so it stops happening.

We need the Forrestal with a deck crew... We also need a proper generic control interface for the Ships.... not the F10 menu. Speed, Heading, Weapon control (some ships already have this) aircraft launch and the ability to give a separate heading to a ship in the group... Get to work ED!!
At this point, Supercarrier should just be made free. I don't care that I spent money on it, it's just more nonsense that divides the community. No paid SC would mean that Forrestal could get deck crew which AFAIK has already been implemented by HB but ED forbade them from putting in.
Although everybody can use the Stennis in a basic way, only those with SC DLC can use/see deck crew, more realistic radio comms, the LSO camera, the FLOLS overlay, etc. You do get a bunch of extras. It's a subjective value judgment if it's worth it to you or not.
@@ilijajovcevski4419 In the foreground of the opening shot for this video the Stennis can be seen with deck crew. If you have the SC DLC I think you'll find that the Stennis now how has these features. It didn't used to, but now it does. Go ahead and give it a try.
I'm heading to the Stennis, why is there so many Stennis's out there?? Lol! There are more than one standard Carrier, ED wants to make money after all the work they put into creating the Carriers you want to land on but don't want to pay for. You have to pay if you want to play.
So the Stennis has the deck crew and advance comms now? Really if you can't afford $30-$40, you are on the wrong game. Probably pay out more on a free to play fps game. If a server only has the Stennis I leave. I don't even have the hook up keybound anymore.
Yes, Stennis has those things now. You don't need the hook up key bind to launch from it either. Next time you join a server with the Stennis, try it for yourself and you'll see.
Or people don't wanna be suckered into paying $30-$40 for something that's trash at best, a scam possibly. Features were removed from the Stennis on SC release to make it appear like the SC module was 'adding' them, i.e. PLAT camera. The ready room on SC has zero functionality. And the fact they charge for functional ATC is just comedy!
