Generally, there are 4-5 options given in a cloze test and only one of them is correct. If you learn to identify the wrong options, it will be very easy for you to answer the question correctly. But the issue is ‘HOW TO IDENTIFY THE WRONG OPTIONS?’. To resolve this issue, Manisha ma’am has come up with a unique approach i.e. ELIMINATION TECHNIQUE.
Through this technique, ma’am is teaching you to categorize the wrong options in 4 categories and then eliminate them accordingly. The categories are -
1. Irrelevant - Irrelevant means not connected with a situation. Generally there is one or more options that have nothing to do with the theme and tone of the passage. These are added just for the sake of adding to the number of options. Such options are called irrelevant.
2. Factually wrong - Factually wrong options are those which are wrong according to the facts given in the passage. Most of the options in this category give just the opposite meaning of what is given in the passage.

3. Grammatically wrong - This category comprises of the options which are grammatically incorrect. With the help of previous videos and PDFs provided by ma’am, you all can master the concepts of grammar and can easily identify this category of options.
4. Red herring - Red herring means a fact, idea, or subject that takes people's attention away from the central point being considered. Most of you must have noticed that it’s easy to eliminate 2 out of 4 option but you get confused when you have to choose the correct answer from the remaining 2. One out of these two options is red herring which is deliberately put to confuse you. Here, ma’am is teaching you methods to identify such option.
