I have been painting for some nuns and we got to talkin about Street people yesterday. And it brought to mind this prayer and that's why I'm here today. What a wonderful way of presenting the 11th step and the Saint Francis prayer! Many many years ago in 1986 my sponsor said go up and get you a desire chip if you want one. So I was eager to do anything they told me to do because I didn't want to ever have to shoot up methamphetamine again. So I get this chip and on one side of it it says to thine own self be true. I said doesn't that contradict everything the program stands for and he said no because to thine own self be true translated means think more of others than yourself. And then he laughed and said all good spiritual things are a paradox! He passed away with 28 years sober forever miss Eddy k. One thing I can say about 12 step recovery people they sure are tolerant and forgiving. Everything that the Bible says love is I found in 12 step recovery rooms. Forever grateful ! thanks
Cody Pulley what a beautiful story about your Recovery path and your sponsor. I wholeheartedly agree about 12 Step Recovery folks. We are a tolerant and forgiving bunch. We can’t afford a speck of resentment - that leads to a seriously dark dark road. Blessings!
I've just started my 12 step programme . I've been a cocaine addict for 12 years. I've tried everything but the 12 step programme is absolutely amazing . My sponsor is amazing. I've never felt this way before I'm spirituality well everyday. I listen to this . Soon I will helping another addict get clean and sober . Amazing❤

I am doing the 12 Step programme and this prayer, with your words and calming, benevolent and gentle voice that I will never tire of hearing really helps me to focus my thoughts, feelings and actions to where they Need to be. Afterwards I find it much easier to cast aside my resentments with a spirit of forgiveness and to review my gratitudes for the day. Xx

I have become very undisciplined with steps 10 and 11 recently and guess what, I've been feeling like crap!! Haha. Getting back on it now, time to start practicing self care. Thanks for creating this wonderful meditation

Anything that brings a person clarity in a society full of confusion is going to benefit. My Prayer, The Prayer of St Francis has helped deliver me through some of the most darkest hours of my life journey just for having known about it. Understanding IS much more important than being understood. Accomplish that by learning how a person may THINK correctly. Therefore allowing a person to make correct choices, and enjoy life as it was meant to Be Lived. Think Well, or die trying.
I wrote another prayer you might be interested in seeing, and I recorded that prayer in my memoir which I would be happy to send you a PDF if you pass me your email address to thinkwell10@outlook.com. The Prayer goes like this: Lord Jesus please help me, My Lord when you died on the Cross for us, You covered us in all of your blood, Please protect us always. Show me Lord how to be more like you towards others and to THINK as You do, For Thy Will Be Done. Teach me great Master, and please do not leave me forsaken. Amen. In retrospection, or introspection, the root of anyone seeking truth whether through meditation or otherwise is between a persons 2 ears with great emphasis upon the Way a person THINKS. Currently learning that "correctly" is not common....until now. My studies have led me to guide others to freedom away from mental slavery and into self liberation simply by teaching a person How to Think Correctly. Just because a person might think, does not automatically imply that is 100% correct. And let us not over look the fact Jesus was a Teacher and everyone knows this quote: Father, forgive them for they KNOW not what they do." Think about it, please. Peace+++

Francis eventually found out what he was not in this prayer...its clear in his self- forgetting message to us all... he just couldnt proclaim who he was due to the Christian nature of the Western World ...This prayer woke up the sleeping Spirit that is Whole in me..(even that's not really true..but the best wording )

Nice voice and intention Angela, beautiful. We have a ‘Happy Joyous and Free’ 11th step weekdays in Carson City Nevada. We use a 20 minute meditation in a traditional style AA mtg where everyone shares, and everyone shares their name in an intro circle. Very inclusive. My only feedback is that the music is too loud. I will explore your other vids. Thank you dear 🌛
