Fatty Uncle on His Born Blood Journey into 2499 to 5 Vintage Famous Restaurants of Wang Burapha
Dang Bireley and Pu Bottlebomb. These are the names many recognize.
As I mentioned before, I was born in 1956 (B.E.2499), the same year the movie “Dang Bireley's and Young Gangsters” came out. Born Bloo teenagers loved coming to the Old Siam Plaza at Wang Burapha in the old times!
This place is an old shopping center. You can find Saphan Han, Sampheng, and Phahurat here. Back when Fatty Uncle was a teenager, Uncle loved to come here to shop and see movies. So, in this video, I would like to relieve my youth as a 2499 kid, making my way to 5 famous vintage restaurants still standing today.
“On Lok Yun” is the legendary breakfast restaurant in business for over 100 years! It used to be called “Chalermkrung Coffee Shop.” It was where the scouts would be. Many movie stars were born at this very place! I ordered a big breakfast set and gave you my secret seasoning recipe. Don’t miss it.
“Jae Pook Clear Soup with Pork Blood” is Uncle’s favorite place for pork blood soup! They’ve got a kitchen at the back. Their signature is their soft and tender pork blood tofu. It’s almost like they’re making pork blood pudding! Fatty Uncle will drive here any day for this pork blood soup. And don’t forget the extremely difficult-to-find “white mugwort.” Also Uncle’s favorite!
“Hiso Curry Rice Pa Aew.” That’s the name I gave to this restaurant! Everything about this restaurant is hiso, from their ingredients to their price. You can never have enough of their food. I rushed here to see Pa Aew cook the stir-fried crab with yellow chili and big crabs in a large pot! Delectable and popular. It’s sold out in minutes!
“Pan Fried Chicken Noodles Pien.” The famous pan-fried chicken restaurant. It has been in business for over 48 years. A brass pan and a charcoal stove make the pan-fried chicken as original as possible. Pa Pien cooks chickens until they’re nicely charred but not burned! Lots of care were put into each dish. Many noodles options to choose from. There’s also homemade pork crackling, Uncle’s favorite, made fresh every morning!
“Rad Na Rim Khlong.” It’s rumored that this restaurant is so popular that it’s sold out within 2 hours! You need to reserve your place, or you won’t get to eat it! There are only two dishes here: stir-fried rice noodles with soy sauce and stir-fried rice noodles with beef gravy. The latter is made with an old recipe, giving off a sweet taste. The pork is cooked until soft and not too mushy. The noodles were stir-fried to aromatic. The rumor is true, after all!
