Honestly, I am impressed this movie got finished. Between deciding which scenes to keep, and the actors keeping straight faces during all the ridiculousness, this production process is a masterpiece!
I know it wouldn't fit in the eventual storyline, but I wish they would have found a way to use this, because that's one of the best deleted scenes I've ever since. Rob Riggle was friggin' AMAZING!
That has got to be THE funniest scene I have ever seen on any movie. I can't understand why it didn't make it to the movie. Maybe a little too offensive or something? But, thank God for DVD and deleted scenes. I was watch that with my wife, and we were both in tears PMSL, pure GOLD!
@@Ace12341 I think it's because they must have changed a key plot point. In this scene he says "Mr. Gavel" wants Brennan hosting the event but in the final cut of the movie it was Brennan's idea to host it in an attempt to get his parents back together. It's a shame they couldn't have figured a way out to keep it in with fancy editing or something though!
Honestly I have been watching this scene since like 2014? 6 years. I maybe watched it 70 times? And I just rewatched it now and I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. Probably funniest thing I've ever seen like EVER. How the HELL did they do this?? :D
it's only 5 minutes, and the movie itself is only about 90. Plus this gives more context for why Riggle's character is so intense. And, I think it's pretty hilarious. I think it would have been useful
It's funny how Rob keeps calling him Brendan because it could just be him messing up his lines or his character showing how little he thinks of Brennan.
I think the reason they deleted this scene is that they wanted to give Ferrell's character agency by actively asking for the Catalina Wine Mixer. As opposed to being given to him.
yeah, that is exactly it. Because no way you are leaving out a scene that funny. I think they should’ve tried to change the very beginning part of it and edited in Brennan telling randy that he wants to head up the Catalina wine mixer. Then they could’ve used most of the scene.
My favorite moment is when he tells Will not to be slacking - “This is Brennan, this is me. Hey, you got the papers? No, I’m talkin ‘bout…SHUT YOUR FUCKIN MOUTH!!” “Well, I definitely don’t want that.” 😂 I must’ve watched this clip at least 20 times by now…
