I remember buying this exact kit as my first PE kit a while back and trying to do this using little tiny images I found on the internet. I gave up after about a third of the pieces. Thanks so much for this video!!
Any tips for painting the PE parts? I'm working through a kit right now and just applied some metal primer to mine and I am TERRIFIED of the airbrushing steps
They can be nerve wracking, but once they're primed they should take paint like anything else. They will always be more susceptible to paint rubbing off due to their hardness/edges, but there's no need to worry regarding regular painting!
Curious to see this painted. Not sure how the intentional plain asthetic of the entry grade will translate with all these highly detailed parts now. Right now they're super visible lets see when painted.
@@LiamsHobbyRoom Did part 3 ever come out? Is the intention for painting to leave the photo-etched parts unpainted? If so, would you normally paint first and then the photo-etched pieces?
@@LiamsHobbyRoom You could do a Metal Primer and Painting Tutorial on a Different EG Strike for Comparison with the Standard EG Strike, showing how it’d look painted as opposed to not
There are pictures of the finished build put out by Madworks, but they aren't very descriptive. I made this video so people could have a guide to where to place each piece!
I'd recommend putting them on before painting & topcoat! Unless you want them be bare unpainted metal. Even then, topcoat after or they'll be super shiny and out of place!
