Sitz baths do not work with thromboses hemorrhoids for me. Especially if you have to sit the hemorrhoid touches the bath floor.

Thanks Dr Chung I am 45 Years old and I also having this currently (Thrombosed Hemorrhoid) reason why I get this because I keep pushing it back even it’s very Painful. I keep repeating this process until the Hemorrhoid got swollen and got big. It’s very Painful on the 1st to 3 days now i just relaxing myself and I can see it’s still there but the pain starts to subside. Million thanks to my wife, daughter and sister-in-laws for helping me while doing the healing process. From Singapore to Philippines 🇵🇱🇵🇭

I have had this happen twice and both required surgery. The dr told me that I experienced probably the most painful thing I ever will. It was beyond painful. Changed my diet to include more fiber and that has made all the difference. I would not wish this on anyone.

@@kassi4837 It was a bit painful for a week or so. You just had to be careful with the stitches, diet and wiping around the area. Once that was all healed, I was 100% great.

Mine hurt like hell for two days and then kind of miraculously just burst - the relief!!! This after lots of sitz baths, careful application of witch hazel, and yes, relaxation was really super helpful. Anusol too, but not sure how much that worked saved for the lubricant effect. Now a day or so after the burst, pain virtually gone, symptoms gone, tenderness a little, and some blood and pus, gradually reducing to almost nothing. Still doing the sitz baths and witch hazel and it seems to be on the mend. We'll see. But God the pain and the discomfort, but then the blessed relief! Another top tip I discovered was putting feet on raised block when passing a stool. Much better position to evacuate one's bowel from and made the process quicker and far less painful.

Yes yes and YES! Though my situation wasn't painful, it's was still anxiety ridden with the thought: What the heck is this thing???!!! Medical advise nurse with my insurance was not helpful. Much research and finding Dr Chung was the best thing! Time, patience and healthy habits will bring things back to normal in my case. Phew! Thx for these videos! You're the bestest 😊

Sure wish there was a Dr. Chung Seal of Approval on proctologists! It would be so great to know that a doctor is on the same page as you, Dr. Chung. I know that Board Certification is a good indicator, but you never know who's open to less-invasive treatment options. It would save time and suffering to find the right doctor on the first try. I don't live too far from you, so I know who I'll see should the need arise.😊

I just have to eat more implement a fiber supplement. He wants me to wait one more month before we talk banding. I just wanted to let you know that you make a difference. How do we tell the difference between an abscess and an external thrombosed hemorrhoid? Had an ER visit today due to extreme pain every time I had a bowel movement (at least 3 times a day with my IBS-M). I thought is was a large abscess, and so did the ER doc until he cut into it, found blood and decided it was a thrombosed hemrrhoid. What is the danger level of contacting sepsis with each? Man I’ve been dying for about a month now. I had a banding but didn’t do my part and caused a fissure and a thrombosed external hem that popped and now I’m just dealing with the after. I have never been in this amount of pain in my life but literally your videos your voice has helped me so much. I literally felt like I wanted to die I never wish this on anyone ever 😢😅

I was feeling good about your suggestions till the last comment. 4 months is sooo long to be dealing with this. Its as if i need to name it and accept its going to be part of my life. With all the advancements in technology youd think there would be better ways to deal with this than, wait and hope. 😢

They can last longer but they get better and better. Ask your doc for proctofoam it’s gentle easy and numbs pain has hydrocortisone and pramoxine. It’s used two or three times a day but I’ve used it up to 4 times for pain years ago doctors would lance and drain them before the clot hardens, it was done within a short window like first few days.

It does suck because if you do go out and have to hit the bathroom I think it would be embarrassing and you have to carry your medicine with you. Nah I think I’ll stay home.

I took an Advil right at the onset of my external hemorrhoid thrombose appearing.. this was obviously before I watched this video.. does this mean it won’t heal ? I thought inflammation was a bad thing and ibprofin took it away ?

I am dying at work today. Had a huge bloodclot which ruptured at work. Didnt stop bleeding for hours. Now its a bit stingy. Had to put a giant bandaid on my crack!!! New fear unlocked

3 months is a lot doctor, i can't pass stool because of the pain, causing me so much anxiety, i saw a doctor and he prescribed a hydrocortisone ointment to me, is this supposed to get it treated fast?

I have a hemorrhoid for 2 weeks now the second week being really bad now. I went to the doctor last Friday and I'm on medication (2 creams) the pain level is like a 9 right now and spikes to 10 with the spasms when they come and go. I don't know what to do, I should've gone when it was a small problem.

Mine got huge. I thought that that thing was going to burst. Now its starting to shrink somewhat.. i got a 2.5% hydrocortisone cream from my doc and i started using it internally. and oh no, ive been popping 2- 600 mg ibuprofen a day 😮 o.m.g. ill stop today. They help with the spasms after i poop :(. But its 10:30pm and i feel good. No pressure, no spasms, i set on the toilet to pee and my butt didn't ache. Hopefully tomorrow after my b.m. there won't be any issues!. This was a rough 1.

Question I have: If banding hurts when it goes on, can you try again later, after being kind to the hemmeroid? Or would that mean it's time for a more invasive surgery? Is it possible to just power through the pain of an unusually painful banding? Where I live it takes a year to even get in for banding and it failed the first time, and I've now waited another year.

I think you can go for another banding. Dr. Chung has had more than once. How long do you have to wait in Canada? Can't a physician perform banding? Where in Canada? Because I too want to get it done!

Urrrggg.. I have on and off external hemorrhoids lately. It's super annoying, uncomfortable, and at times painful. When I am not doing anything, the external hemorrhoids disappear. But, when I zumba dance, the external hemorrhoids come back. Most of the time, I can just feel it is there but it does not hurt. But, sometimes it hurts to the point I just want to lie on the bed. I hate this on and off. Exercise has always been a part of my life and this external hemorrhoid is destroying it.

It is so annoying that I can't just make an appointment with the Proctologist and I have to have a referral from my primary even though I don't have insurance and am not beholden to their rules. They are forcing me to pay to go to my primary to get a referral. I feel extorted. Hope all is well with you and you never go thru this!

I believe if you use a cortisone for extended periods this will weaken the lining and make it thin. So don’t overuse hydrocortisone

I really appreciate your videos. Can you please talk about anal sex with hemorrhoids? I've heard conflicting opinions about whether it can be helpful, harmful, neither, etc. Personally, I would also be interested in learning more about heavier anal play (toys/fisting), but I think there would probably be more interest in the question of how hemorrhoids can/should interact with anal sex. Wow, watching how the hems practically melted away within 48 hours, feels so good lol, I used what I talked about the other day, well it actually took about 72 hours for them to totally shrink and disappear, I just go’ogled Melissa Thanderski and the sense of relief is so worth it.
