How to make a very LIGHT MDF door with machined handle (WITHOUT WARNING)
In this video I teach you step by step how to make a passage door in MDF.
One of the advantages of making an MDF door is that it is possible to create it in a mimicry way, camouflaging it in the environment.
But as you know, mdf is much heavier than traditional doors, to solve the weight problem, the door was pressed using 6mm mdf on both sides with a hollow core, just with some plywood beams, which by the way, is very light.
Another problem that often happens with mdf doors is that they warp or warp. And the solution for a door without warping was the use of a 2.5x2.5cm metalon on the side opposite the hinge. Note: the side that is held by the hinge already performs the function of aligning the door. If it were a sliding or pivot door, metalon would be needed on both sides.
And to finish with a flourish, a machined armhole handle was made from the MDF itself, giving it extra charm.
